A bit of a dilemma. Not serious in any way, shape, or form but annoying anyway.
My DD is almost 33. She is obviously VERY pregnant.
Last week in Morrisons (while going through the checkout with a big shop) she was asked for ID for 1 bottle of craft beer that she was buying for her partner to drink with his supper. At first she laughed and then when she realised the cashier was serious she said she had nothing to show her. She does not drive and doesn't have a passport.
My DD tried to reason that if she was under age drinking, would her drink of choice be a bottle of specialist craft beer? or perhaps cheap cider? would she be spending £45 on meat, cereal, vegetables etc. and hiding one bottle of beer in the hope it would slip through? My DD volunteered that the cashier perhaps didn't know what an average 18-25 year old looks like and when she wouldn't budge, told her to shove the beer. I might have told her to shove the whole shop but that's just me.
My question is how can anyone prove they are their age without a passport or driving license ?
