Just had a phone call from someone calling himself Jack. His company are carrying out a "Heat Loss Assessment" in my area and there are grants available to upgrade. He made it sound like it was an official government initiative. He then went on to ask my age, whether I was the owner and if I lived alone. The assessment would mean his company coming to my house and testing the double glazing. I told him I have never heard of the Heat Loss Assessment, refused to answer his questions and hung up. Anyone else received a phone call like this? Is it genuine? Am I becoming too untrusting as I get older?
