We have remembered the songs that move us and got ourselves all sad. So how about the songs make us leap out of the chair and boogie round the room?

Thriller by Michael Jackson
500 miles The Proclaimers
Mr Brightside The Killers

I'd forgotten about Can't Stop the Feeling by Justin Timberlake Eloethan

What a fantastic song! On YouTube there's several videos of compilations of dance scenes from films set to that song and they're so addictive! grin

This is my favourite

Movie Mix

Guaranteed feel good stuff - you've never seen Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Debbie Reynolds, Gene Kelly or John Travolta dancing to Justin Timberlake before! grin

Shirleyhick & Maggiemaybe looks like you're a pair of Soulies too!
Anything NS for me but especially
Out on the floor
The snake
Tainted love (but only the original version!)
Also like lots of Motown, Abba, Take That, Michael Jackson, Bryan Adams, Cher....
To be fair I'll dance to almost anything! Very rarely am I to be found sitting down at a party ?.

DH more than me, carol58, though I do love some NS, as you can see. I don't often go to his regular Northern Soul nights, as I find that when a song I know is played and we get up to dance, everyone else sits down because it's "mainstream"!

Haha, yes that's exactly what they do Maggie maybe but I don't care about being seen as mainstream. I just dance to what I enjoy and that's most things. Could never dance to jazz though!

Oo NannyTee I can just see you sitting on the floor rowing!

NannyTee Thu 08-Feb-18 14:00:34

carol58 Thu 08-Feb-18 14:50:53

Haha, last time I did that was 14 yrs ago at my DS 18th! Great exercise for the old abs ? Might have to find the old rowing boat song on YouTube lol...

"Oops upside your head" brings back memories for me. I was working in a solicitors office in Lancashire and we all went out for a social evening. I can remember this music coming on (which I like) and, though I am quite an uninhibited dancer normally, I felt too embarrassed to sit on the floor and do this. I was surprised to see two much older ladies from accounts joining in - and being helped to their feet afterwards. Well done to them!

Ouch yes don't think my tale bone could stand a hard dance floor these days. I'll stick to the living room carpet . grin
