The inquest into my darling daughters death is on .Tuesday. I am not going. What can I expect? , have never attended one, didn't go to my husbands inquest . I am getting very anxious about it.

I am crying, not from grief but the kindness and caring you have all given me.

When I posted the day my darling daughter died I said she was my joy, my tears, my world. This was so true, I had no word from my sisters and they live in the same town, in this darkest time I have ever experienced I wanted to join my darling child, you reached out to me , you were with me as I arranged her funeral , you have been with me every step of the way, even in my 'meme threads.

you have shown all that is good in the world

I thank everyone of you

Annie x

Annie, I imagine you will soon hear from your son-in-law as to the findings of the Coroner - I hope your questions will all be answered and that you will then be able to find a measure of peace.

Son in law just phoned - verdict Suicide

There was alcohol in her blood but coroner dismissed it because her tolerance level was unknown

Her GP gave the date when he first started treated her, said she suffered much anxiety , agitation and was depressed.

The psychiatric hospital said she had no mental illness . This beggars the question , why did they admit her five times in seven years , the last time just a few weeks before she died. There was no report that she had taken an overdose several times , no mention she self harmed to the extent she had stitches on more than three occasions .

Seems taking Valium and anti depressants does not mean mental health problems.

Son in law spoke out, said he and I saw the changes in her after the birth of their third child which concerned us.
Her wild shopping sprees, her taking the keys out of the doors at night incase one of their children unlocked a door , went into the garden and drown in the pool. Nothing from the psychiatrist who told me he though she had bipolar , he is no longer working in that hospital.

They are sending me a full recording of all that was said.

No one from the local rag there , I wonder if they can ask for a transcript . I will now have to wait a week untill it is publish and see if they do print anything about the inquest.

Oh Annie sad I know nothing about how inquests work, but can the decision be overturned?

callgirl1 Tue 06-Feb-18 17:24:36

I`ve been thinking of you most of today Annie, hoping that you will eventually find peace and solace.

M0nica Tue 06-Feb-18 17:34:50

Oh, Annie, how terrible for you, especially as I told you that I thought the most likely verdict, in the circumstances, would be 'took her life while the balance of her mind was disturbed'.

You have been badly let down by your Mental Health services, much as your DD was, and indeed by the Coroner, who seems to have lacked any compassion or indeed any critical faculty to wonder why the MH authority said she had no mental health issues, when she had been an in patient so many times. Probably covering their backs because they knew they had failed her and were worried about any repercussions.
