I seem to remember many people having a nickname when I was wee, but hardly anyone seems to have one nowadays. Some I remember hearing about were;

The Exorcist (because when he came to your house, all the spirits disappeared)

Vimto ( because nobody liked him)

Two Soups ( because his name was Campbell Baxter)

We used to live in a house by the park and my then toddler son used to see a man every day walking his dog.

He called to him mandog!

In our street we have a chocolate teapot, broken leg, the druggies and one now moved on by police who we correctly callen neanderthal.
