Went to a little ones party recently, enjoyed mandarin oranges set in lemon jelly, oh my lord I am now hooked!! Verging on obsessed reallygrin so simple if full of sugar, too easy to wolf down in a cup watching tv, so what about you, have you any little delicacies, odd or not, that you can't resist?

Lemon curd on digestive biscuits and frozen red grapes with Greek yogurt....,,mmmm.

Juggernaut Wed 24-Jan-18 17:34:22

Portabella Mushrooms stuffed with Whole Earth Three Nut Butter, and grilled gently until the butter melts!

HurdyGurdy Wed 24-Jan-18 17:49:55

Danish blue cheese on Hovis digestives (no other digestive will do!)

I can (and shamefully, do) eat a whole triangle pack of the cheese on most of a packet of the biscuits in one sitting.

I have no willpower, and resistance is futile!

Marmite on toast. What's with the honey??? I thought I was weird having strawberries and hummus! And sausages and salad with strawberries! Yum. And chocolate cake mixture ..... now I am being grim!

Mini pork pie.
Cup of cocoa with a cheese sandwich. I have even been known to dip the sandwich in the cocoa. ?

How did you people find out about these combinations? grin

When we were children my sister used to like lettuce and jam sandwiches I could never for the life of me understand why. ( ps. the lettuce and jam were in the same sandwich.

MissAdventure, our family favourite of cucumber and crisp rolls/sandwiches was arrived at by the fact that these were all that was left from our selection of fillings for our picnic. Hobson's choice ended up in lifelong love affair for all four of us. Funny old world!

MissAdventure Wed 24-Jan-18 20:10:58

Ah yes. I've had some strange combinations that have made up dinners, when I've not had much in, and no money.

EllieRose43 Wed 24-Jan-18 21:14:50

marionk I'm with you - peanut butter anything! Also condensed milk sandwiches or just a can of condensed milk and a spoon.

grandmac Wed 24-Jan-18 21:42:04

My weakness is Peanut butter and beetroot sandwiches. I can eat them all day smile If I have n peanut butter in I get agitated, so guessing its a sort of addiction. Ooops smile. I think I get addicted too easy as I drink so much tea my hubby reckons I should have it intravenously.

FarNorth Thu 25-Jan-18 00:39:21

There are worse addictions to have, NanaPower. grin

Hilmix Thu 25-Jan-18 09:12:25

newnanny Thu 25-Jan-18 12:24:04

Bridgeit Thu 25-Jan-18 13:07:27

I use to love Junket, ( glad I didn’t know what was in it back then)

Diggingdoris Thu 25-Jan-18 23:01:36

Oh no! Thank you Nannylovesshopping for finding out about the tangerines jelly. What a shame. Maybe we should all write to Hartleys and ask them to bring it back for us connoisseurs.

When we visited Australia to see my son and his family, one of our big cases was filled with McCoys crisps. He missed them so much. Round the edges of the case I stuffed in as many KitKats as I could ...
