Very annoying people

Also ( this may turn out to be a long list ....a bit like the Mikado one!) those perpetual latecomers, never on time for anything, the ones who boringly drone on about unknown relatives and holidays for hours, the ones who always want to go one better than you, the ones who sniff loudly and always sit next to you in the cinema, the ones who eat noisily next to you in the cinema, or worse, eat a messy hotdog.The ones who applaud in the cinema ( they can’t hear you, you dolt!)
The ones who come into the theatre late and stand on your toes to get to their seats, the ones who allow doors to bang shut in your face,the queue jumpers ( anywhere)......that will do to start with.

Dd says she loves next table entertainment.

The same ones as you kitty the very loud, selfish kind.

I am aware that sometimes I come into that category because my DH is so deaf and I have to almost shout to have a conversation. One reason why I don't go out very often.

Let's hear it for Baggs well done. Those people annoy me too, inane loud phone calls or the people whose entire conversation revolves round themselves.
The steam train trip sounds brilliant what a lovely gift.

When Minibaggs and I were travelling back from Aberdeen Uni Open Day (four hour train journey) there was an very annoying young woman blethering away on her phone in the designated quiet coach for ages. Minibaggs and I and the two young men sitting opposite us were finding it very irritating. When we could name several of her cousins and it seemed that it was never going to stop I asked the young things if I should say something and got nods all round and a "Do it!" So I stood up and did it. Just asked if she realised it was the quiet coach and that people booked seats in such coaches deliberately to avoid other people's phone calls. The young lady was really surprised: "But I'm talking to my nan!"
"The rest of the train is at your disposal for talking to your nan," I said.

She did not move but the phone call did stop shortly after that. Apparently there was a breathless hush in the entire coach while the above exchange was happening.

We had a similar experience in a smart restaurant when celebrating a family birthday. Two couples at the next table which included a pregnant lady all drinking heavily, guffawing and speaking so loudly that the whole small room in the restaurant was full of their noise and self congratulation. Totally spoiled our evening as we couldn’t really hear to converse ourselves. Tried giving them “the look” but they were oblivious. Put us off returning, a shame as the food is excellent.

Exactly the same type as the "lady" in question.
What a pity your treat was spoiled. I too love steam train journeys.

Those same people kitty although I don't get out enough now to let it bother mè.
People who give lip service to listening to you when all they are doing is waiting to talk about themselves, and one friend now is annoying me because since she was widowed 2 years ago ,has made lots of new friends who she has outings, meals etc with during the week but rings me to fill in at the weekend when they are with their families.
