What did other people think of Meghan's hat? Not keen myself.

Anniebach Tue 26-Dec-17 12:15:53

Rather drab

Lynnieg Tue 26-Dec-17 12:20:12

I thought she might have borrowed it from Beatrice grin

Marmight Tue 26-Dec-17 12:28:25

I liked it .....

soop Tue 26-Dec-17 13:04:34

Chic!

No comment . Simply because I am not into fashion . Haha

Oh my word, that young woman can't do anything right for some people. I simply do not understand why women of any age and in particular women of our age feel the need to. make snide, critical and unpleasant remarks about other women.

lemongrove Tue 26-Dec-17 14:20:45

I liked the style, but agree a drab colour, red would have looked great with her coat, and her dark hair.

Teetime Tue 26-Dec-17 15:00:29

I like the style not the colour brown is rather brown isnt it. Like the coat but not Kates

Welshwife Tue 26-Dec-17 15:24:20

I didn't like the drab brown colour and thought a vibrant colour would have suited her better - also maybe a style without the need of a tie belt. Sometimes people get short changed on the advice they are given.
The poor girl was very much on show and is till learning to deal with a very different life style.

wildswan16 Tue 26-Dec-17 15:24:38

Poor girl is never going to get it right for 100% of us fussy public is she? I thought she looked very nice and wish her all the best. I am so glad nobody bothers to comment on my outfit every time I step out the door.

nightowl Tue 26-Dec-17 15:41:22

I liked her hat, and the colour but I didn’t like the coat. She seems to like those wrap styles but they do rather swamp her enviably slender figure.

I thought she looked quite terrified when they came out of church yesterday. Perhaps this was the first occasion she was on show with all the family, and perhaps it came as a shock to realise what she is getting into. I felt rather sorry for her.

grumppa Tue 26-Dec-17 16:05:30

First it was the dress; now it's the hat. Every detail picked on. Maybe men aren't so bad after all.

suzied Tue 26-Dec-17 16:21:41

What was Harry wearing?

nightowl Tue 26-Dec-17 16:22:18

I don’t think anyone’s picking grumppa. Women like clothes, it’s natural to comment on whether they like another person’s outfit. As long as it doesn’t become personal I think it’s fine.

Flowerpower22 Tue 26-Dec-17 16:22:19

Not keen on the hat - but so looking forward to some fab fashion commentary in 2018!

elfies Tue 26-Dec-17 16:38:12

I wasn't keen but she looked so radiant that it proves the poor girl can wear anything and look good . She probably had instructions not to wear the same colour as the main royals and played safe .
Shes a beautiful girl and Harry looks so proud

BlueBelle Tue 26-Dec-17 17:06:05

Oh for crying out?
What were her knickers like anyone approve of them ?

Niobe Tue 26-Dec-17 18:47:18

I liked the colours Meghan wore but not the style of her coat. I liked the shape of Kate's coat but not its colour but that's just me!

Moocow Tue 26-Dec-17 18:56:18

Oh how I wish we all wore hats everyday! It would solve a lot of hairdo problems, especially when in a rush. My coats have always last years and I only buy in sales. DH coats are never in the sale and are never cheap but look smart and similar style to the princes' which looked smart. I liked their colour choices. Always black for myself and dh.

Can't recall a defence for Andrews daughters when their hats have been discussed

Blinko Tue 26-Dec-17 19:07:53

I wasn't keen on the outfit, but it looks like she comes across as a delightful person, whatever she wears. I liked the photo I saw of her poking her tongue out at the press. Good on her!

nightowl Tue 26-Dec-17 19:11:48

I was thinking the same thing Annie. Strangely they seem to be fair game, I suspect because people generally dislike their father. I don’t think they’ve done anything to deserve the abuse they receive.

Anniebach Tue 26-Dec-17 19:23:51

Seems the objection to any criticsm for Megan's clothes is because of poor Harry's suffering but has found happiness at last. It is sad his mother died but Andrews daughters must have endured much hurt too, they were small when their mother hit the headlines , they have grown up knowing their mother is not accepted publicly by the family. And yes I know she lives at Windsor .

And sticking her tongue out is vulgar and not to be praised, in my opinion. She certaintly lapped up the attention of the press before today.
