Putting the clocks back

Takes me till they go forward again to adjust wish they would leave them alone

Why don't we have Greenwich Mean Time all year? No need to adjust twice a year.

I hate the dark nights. I think my body goes into hibernation mode as the winter progresses.

Why don't we adopt the European time and let the Scots go back an hour if that's what they want ? Am I right in the war they kept the lighter nights ?

I don't mind the hour change, but aware that it is hard on households with littlies - one hour is a big, BIG difference to adjust to and usually takes over a week - lots of fretting, and that's just the parents!

I wish I could granny23 but I need to work the "usual" hours to fit in with the phone calls, deliveries etc. Dark days make me feel quite miserable or as DH says "more miserable than normal"

With the clocks and which way they should be moved in spring or autumn is a nmenomic.

I read the following on The internet this week! It’s a quote from a Native American.....”Only a white man would cut 2” off the top of his blanket and sew it on the bottom in order to make it 2” longer” How true is that!

My SinL would like us to adopt Zulu time all year round. Apparently we are in the Zulu time zone I had to look it up because I had no idea what that was. It appears that it is the military term for GMT!

I hate this clock change and love the spring one. I'm always impatient for the next thing (next meal, next bedtime, next getting-up) and I don't like having to wait longer. This change takes me about a week to adjust to, whereas the spring one I can absorb within a day or so.

Be creative Gillybob e.g. work 4 hours in the early morning and again 4 hours early evening when it is dark anyway and have your freetime say 11.00 till 15.00.

I hate this time of year . Dark when I go to work, dark in my office. (needs a light all year round) and dark when I get home . It's like being a bloomin' mole .

I hate the earlier dark evenings too as I don’t drive in the dark now. I love it when the evenings start getting noticeably lighter again, some time soon after X**s.

Well they needn't move them on my account I hate this messing about with time and count down relentlessly till shortest day so I can watch the evenings start pulling out again- is it 20th Dec? Makes it a short day on the golf course too.

I really don't mind whether I'm on Greenwich time or Central European time but I really wish I could stay on the same time all year. It takes a week to 10 days each time for my body clock to adapt to these silly hour changes.

Yippee - I can use the tumble dryer without feeling guilty. The washing never dries outside in the winter unless it is a really blowy day.

I will tell DH - he thinks they should be putting Stonehenge back together as (we think) it was originally!

I quite like it - more cosy evenings in doing hobbies.
