Never believed in love at first sight until I recently met a man. We agreed to stay in touch.
I feel like a 16?year old waiting for phone to ring.
Never thought I would feel like this again.
We agreed to keep in touch and meet up .
Help! What should I do?

You have his number- text him just to thank him for a lovely time (we don't have to wait to be contacted- so old hat nowadays) good luck

crazygran
First husband love at first sight,or at least a very strong attraction, sadly didnt work out in the end,
Last year met someone else, same as you,
We have been together ever since, but dont live together, but see each other often, and have many afternoon delights, wink, both in our 70s, feel like teenagers
Go for it, even if it doesnt last, as someone else said, you feel alive again, and have something to look forwards to
I hope it works out for you, x

Hi Crazygran,
Exciting times. I think we have the edge of relationships when we get closer to 60. We speak our minds ( nicely of course), and we really have been there done that got the tea-shirt. I predict lovely times and great experiences.
Chuffed for you x

My OH and I met nearly 10 years ago online. We lived about 50 miles apart and for the first 2 years only saw each other at weekends. I moved in with him about 7 years ago and we are very happy together.
If you feel it is right then get in touch with him, life is too short as we get older. I wish you well.

If you don't hear from him after a couple of days definitely contact him yourself - suggest a cofffee or lunch halfway between you - in case he thinks he will be expected to do all the travelling. Men can be as unsure as women about making the first move.
And now that you realize you're not past it, get out there and make lots of new friends!

Oh, I so wish all goes well for you! (And I'd like to feel the same, sometime soon, myself!) If this chap turns out not to be 'the' one, I trust he's a step on the way!
Blessings to you, and all happiness!

Wow Crazygran, how fabulous! My best friend has recently married for the first time on the day after her 60th birthday! She'd met her husband a little less than a year beforehand and I was constantly having the "will he, won't he, does he, doesn't he" phone calls like we had as teenagers when drooling over boys & wondering how they felt! I am so thrilled for her, it's like a fairy tale for her so just enjoy it to the max Crazygran & let it go where it will - fingers crossed for you, good luck!

So hope your date happens and works oout Crazygran . Just under a year ago I was introduced to a friend of friends and earlier this year we had a few ,very enjoyable, but casual, coffee dates . Then they all went on a cruise and he met another widow who he obviously got on well with. She does live 200 miles from him and I don't know if they are still in touch. Before the cruise he was he was fine and friendly enough for a hug and a kiss, . Afterwards he backed off when I told him I really enjoyed his company. He has been widowed for almost 20 years and I think is scared of having a new relationship. He is also 11 years older than me. I haven't now seen him for a few months and miss him a lot.
Knowing he is content on his own hurts, but those few dates were wonderful. Would love to see him again but don't now have the courage to contact him. Sad ,but true!

Make the most of a lovely opportunity. They don’t come around too often. Just be sassy and aware. Don’t give your heart too quickly. And a lock on your finances! Sorry, have heard too many scary stories, including a relative who lost all her money to a chancer who she fell for in old age.

Just enjoy the excitement, but take things slowly. You are so lucky to have met someone who does something for you !

This happened to me too last year aged 70! It caused me considerable shock and emotional turmoil as it was the last thing I expected. Not in my wildest dreams did I ever expect to meet another man that I would care about. We are both widowed and free. We live a distance from each other but manage to meet about once a month. My feelings haven't changed and I value every second we spend together.
