These are a few of my favourite things ...

My wooden bread board. I was just washing it this morning and realised I'd had it since we got married in 1973.

A large trunk which is full of hand made lace, photos, books etc., all passed on through the generations.

My grandfather clock. Made in Wales as a wedding present many generations ago and passed down to the eldest female. My daughter will inherit it. Not too soon I hope!

My most favourite thing is a house brick, yes a brick!, which I brought home from my son's home in London last week, It makes me feel closer to him, since I moved away from London (twenty years ago). My second favourite thing is my apple peeler...it cores at the same time...fantastic and my third thing is my ipod .... it goes everywhere with me...its particularly useful on trains and tubes and planes where people talk so loud these days....I just plug my ears in and enjoy my journey listening to all sorts of music or even an audio book, to avoid someone else's loud conversation.

I bought mine from Amazon. It was recommended to me by my Oesteopath. It is a literal life changer. I have oestioarthritus in my Cervical spine, so at the end of the day my shoulder and neck are chronic. The heat really does relieve it.

I believe that Boots and lloyds pharmacy sell them too.

An old trunk that H's family used to have sent to their B&B for their summer hols and is now full of photos and other bits.
My smart phone, I use it for everything. I can't remember the last time the laptop came out of the cupboard.

My book of Things That Make Me a Smile:- I cut out all sorts of pictures, jokes and things.

Mine are:
1. My sewing machine, as in the old song "it's a gal's best friend";
2. my pretty blue and white cup and saucer - tea is always lovely; and
3. my blue and yellow patchwork quilt - about half of it was worked by other quilters and the rest by me.

A small photograph album containing sepia pictures of my family.
So precious as it was believed by my grandparents that all photos prior to the war had been destroyed in the blitz

A silver and purple (my favourite colour) bracelet, it has become my good luck charm.
It was bought for me by my DD on behalf of my first born GC.

I love things and have too many’beloveds’ to winnow them down to three. It might be t bought of as superficial but I think it is down to moving so often and with so little when I was younger. I went to 14 different school to give you a flavour of my semi-nomadic life.

I still have my first teddy, Georgie Panda. He’s pretty special as he goes back so far.

My lovely cat, my laptop and my garden.

Funny that so many of you mentioned a favourite small knife. I have been bereft since losing my wee one last week, but found it today, in the garden, on a pile of carrot and turnip tops, which I abandoned when I made a run for the house, with the carrots and turnips, when there was a sudden torrential shower.

My other treasured possessions are the CDs recorded by the various bands that DH played in and the painting of the view from 'our' holiday home on the Isle of Barra.

A lancashire potato peeler that has been 'restrung' more than once

The third is my collection of photos on my desktop that took me ages to scan but now show randomly when it is resting. I love remembering who they are and where they were taken.
