D.H. dug out an old C.D. for our recent trip to see D.D. Rock anthems! We were singing along to 'Wild thing'. Remember that one?

DanniRae your post made me grin to myself. I usually have to listen to 'foul language' about other drivers.

In OH's car we listen to Radio Five Live or The Arrow (rock station). In my car I listen to CD's, Pink Floyd, Muse, London Grammar.

Nelliemoser Sat 30-Sept-17 17:51:00

Radio 4. Very little else.

Witzend Sat 30-Sept-17 17:37:08

Varies. Radio 4, Classic FM, Radio 4 Extra, BBC World Service.
If left to Dh it'd be non stop R4/World Service, with the same depressing news on the hour, over and over. I do sometimes have to put my foot down!

DanniRae Sat 30-Sept-17 16:52:21

My husband moaning about everybody's driving!

Jinty44 Sat 30-Sept-17 16:03:15

Radio 4 for short journeys, but for longer ones CDs of 'The Charles Paris Mysteries', Radio 4 plays with Bill Nighy as Charles Paris; a jobbing actor who is around more murders than Miss Marple smile. Sometimes I'll dig out my Kate Bush CDs too.

HurdyGurdy Sat 30-Sept-17 15:18:48

Radio 2 on the way to and from work, Absolute Radio in the kitchen at home (or Radio X if my son is home for the weekend), and for long journeys, I have a large playlist on my Spotify which includes odd songs (ie no albums) from the 70s 80s and onwards. A real mish mash.

I also have War of the Worlds on there which I love listening to.

Mapleleaf Sat 30-Sept-17 15:08:25

Classic FM or Radio 4. Occasionally a CD if in DH car.

Barmyoldbat Sat 30-Sept-17 14:16:32

Usually radio 2 and I live to singalong to anything I know some of the words to. Want to join our community choir but I have an awful voice so I am trying my best to improve it a it.

Tegan2 Sat 30-Sept-17 12:58:32

Whatever is my new favourite song, which I will play on a loop. When I used to go out with someone who lived 45 minutes drive away I sometimes played S Club 7 song all the way there. It would currently be Blue Aeroplanes 'Jacket Hangs' (but I'm away from home and can't drive the S.O's car). I'm afraid I'm a bit ocd in that way. I can't play anything slow when I'm driving and certainly won't play AltJ who are my current favourite band but their music sends me to sleep!ditto London Grammar.

NannyKasey Sat 30-Sept-17 11:52:27

I don't have a car now (no need for one). Mainly used to play Rock Music pretty loud. When my DD & DGD lived with my DPs, my DF had a Nursery Rhyme CD in the car which DGD would insist on playing when my DF was giving me a lift home. I had a "Just Kill Me Now" face when 'Horsey Horsey Don't You Stop' came on, who knew it had more than one verse grin

JackyB Sat 30-Sept-17 09:36:57

puts hand up I'll join in with a requiem or a mass, singing the alto part, too, merlotgran.

kittylester Sat 30-Sept-17 06:31:22

Mostly Radio2 or 5Live or Meatloaf, Ed Sheeran, Ward Thomas or something I've downloaded.

DH listens to Jazz FM.

I'm going to find out about the Stax Cd though as that Prom was brilliant!

Baggs Sat 30-Sept-17 06:18:58

I listen to myself singing nonsense songs that I'm making up as I go along. Unless I'm whistling.

And I listen to the car. You can tell a lot by a car's engine note. Plus, we've always had cars that rattle and clunk. You have to keep an ear out for new noises so that you can consign them to the "nah! nothing to worry about" shelf in your brain.

Living in a wet climate, I also enjoy the sloosh noises when driving through the inevitable puddles.

Occasionally I listen to Rachel Walker singing Gaelic songs.

baubles Sat 30-Sept-17 04:44:20

I mean I switch the radio off! I try to stay switched on.

baubles Sat 30-Sept-17 04:43:27

Radio 4 or classic fm when DH is driving. If I'm driving alone I usually switch off.

Shirleyw Sat 30-Sept-17 04:17:28

Either radio 2, 3, 4 or 3counties radio....

Moneyboss Fri 29-Sept-17 23:02:04

I listen to radio 2 or Beautiful South cds.

phoenix Fri 29-Sept-17 22:44:48

Radio is permanently set to Radio 4, occasionally play a CD, but very rarely, can't remember the last time.

merlotgran Fri 29-Sept-17 22:35:25

Hands up all those who sing or have sung in a choir who take the opportunity of a solo trip in the car to shove in a CD and practice their part in a requiem mass?

At full volume grin

grumppa Fri 29-Sept-17 22:24:27

Radio 4, Radio3, Classic FM, or the stuff I have recorded: various classical, English folk songs, Beatles, Françoise Hardy, Johnny Cash.

callgirl1 Fri 29-Sept-17 22:20:36

When we still had a car, it was mostly Bee Gees or brass bands.

Ailsa43 Fri 29-Sept-17 22:20:08

I listen to Radio 2 in my car ... o/h listens to radio 3 or 4... or his own music..

It's been a very long time since I put a CD on in my car...

silverlining48 Fri 29-Sept-17 22:13:49

NotTooOld Fri 29-Sept-17 21:57:31
