My mum sang this to all her grandchildren, I now sing it to mine. Must have heard it a thousand times.

The one about moving the piano is Right Said Fred. Dd found it not long ago on YouTube - a B&W cartoon version, very funny, and Gdd - just about 2 then - loved it!
(makes a change from Peppa Pig on my iPad!)

I think I'm going to find some old Flanders and Swan ones - e.g. MUd, Mud, Glorious Mud - on YouTube to show her. I've always sung a lot to her and she still enjoys it, ditto very little Gds.
My father had a very good voice and would sing a lot in the bathroom - mostly G and S - I'm still very fond of e.g. I am the very model of a modern major general.

Love love love Flanders & Swann! At one time I worked overseas and lived next door to a very anti-pom Aussie, so when I came home on leave I got a copy of 'The English The English The English are best' and played it in the room facing his house

loopyloo I think I remember my mum and dad singing this at a rather riotous Christmas Party. They and their friends sat on the floor in rows and pretended to row-singing "Sons of the sea. Bobbin up and down like this" I think they were supposed to get up and down when they reached the chorus, but they were all very well oiled and it usually finished with them collapsing with laughter!
