End of the World .

Jehovas Witnesses insisted the world was going to end in 1964, which frightened me very much as I had young babies then. So now I ignore all such warnings.
As for Dotard and Rocket Man, - put them in a boxing ring and let them fight it out before they ruin this world for the rest of us.

As it is evening in Australia - is it still there?

And what about all those crumbs and yuk under the microwave when you move it?

I have showered and put on clean underwear.......or is that in case you get run over by a bus??

Just remember those lady passengers on the Titanic who turned down the offer of the dessert trolley...

. Hope they didn't have oefs a la neige on the Titanic's dessert trolley!! I'd have turned it down too!

I remember a short story on rado 4 a few years ago. A busload of commuters heard that the world was about to end and so they had a terrific orgy on the bus, all of them included, totally uninhibited. Then when the world didn't end that day they all went home on the usual bus, hardly able to look at each other, feeling somewhat sheepish and embarassed.

I played it safe , Loopyloo - Natural Light Ash Brown 6A , Nice and Easy . I should have gone for Flaming Red or Planet Clashing Orange .
Life and hair is still as I know it - safe and boring !

When I went to Sunday School (so when the world was still in black and white!) the wonderful Dr McLean told us that the Bible predicted the second coming would be when there were wars and rumours of wars - that must be any time soon!!

Don't mean to be rude , but there have always been wars , rumours of wars , threats of wars.Everyday there is some sort of war going on somewhere , to be frank that's what God was obsessed with in the Old Testament!

God? I thought man wrote the old and new testaments.

It is now delayed until October 21st, something to do with the wrong leaves on the track or too much rain or having to take the wife to hospital or....

Note the placard in this photo "Judgement Day, May 21st 2011" but also the Bible quotation *Be not wise in thine own eyes" Prov.3.7. Predicting the end of the world is NOT wise, unless of course you want people to give away their money and possessions to you. After all, they won't need them after the rapture, will they? But neither will the prophets, so why didn't they refuse the gifts?

Perhaps they wanted to 'Prophet from them '?

Picture the scene, GN members arriving at the Pearly Gates, St Peter asks them if they have tried to live good and blameless lives

They assure him that they have.

He then asks them if they have always tried to be kind and considerate to others.

Again they assert that they have, to the very best of their ability.

He then asks them "And how often did you clean behind you fridge and tumble dryer?"

There is a crack of thunder, a flash of lightening, and several Grans disappear................
