End of the World .

I didn't know that fridges had filters to be changed either! And now is as good a time as any to fess up that I've never changed the filter on my washing machine mainly because I don't know where it is. Will I burn?

Guess phoenix - it might help if I tell you that dh just changed the filter on the fridge and when he moved it discovered two dead mice at the back!

Predicting the end of the world is NOT wise, unless of course you want people to give away their money and possessions to you. After all, they won't need them after the rapture, will they? But neither will the prophets, so why didn't they refuse the gifts?

It is now delayed until October 21st, something to do with the wrong leaves on the track or too much rain or having to take the wife to hospital or....

I only had the preparation work for my crown done today - due to be fitted next week.

God? I thought man wrote the old and new testaments.

Don't mean to be rude , but there have always been wars , rumours of wars , threats of wars.Everyday there is some sort of war going on somewhere , to be frank that's what God was obsessed with in the Old Testament!

When I went to Sunday School (so when the world was still in black and white!) the wonderful Dr McLean told us that the Bible predicted the second coming would be when there were wars and rumours of wars - that must be any time soon!!

Life and hair is still as I know it - safe and boring !

I remember a short story on rado 4 a few years ago. A busload of commuters heard that the world was about to end and so they had a terrific orgy on the bus, all of them included, totally uninhibited. Then when the world didn't end that day they all went home on the usual bus, hardly able to look at each other, feeling somewhat sheepish and embarassed.
