When we are Brexited.....

Wally is a small gherkin like object, a perfectably passable British substitute for an olive . Have had a few bottles of English sparkling wine, it is produced locally here, and very nice it is too, but rather more expensive as there just isn't the economies of scale, and the small production makes it a costly process. Nice though, and one has to do one's best to support local business don't you know!

It was rather expensive but a treat for a special occasion.
It may have been even better with a wally or two though.

Do they grow in this country? (sounds suspiciously German to me, I have bought gherkins in Lidl )

Global warming will make English wine more commercial and all the dippy down bits of the South Downs will be planted up with olive trees.

Global warming? I don't think the French and Germans will let us keep that when we brexit, will they?

Does the gherkin object have a striped sweater, hat and scarf? We'll be able to spend time paying Where's Wally when we've had enough English wine.

Will we still be able to import Australian wine?
We usually drink Australian, feeling happy after half a bottle this evening.

I presume that we won't have to queue so long in supermarkets any more? And chairs to plonk ourselves on while waiting to be served. Ah, I can't wait - for the plonk bit, anyway

There are lots of vines being planted around here, maybe there are plans to be self sufficient in wine.....olives could be a bit more tricky though. I assume we could make our own gherkins? Are they small pickled courgettes? really tiny ones? Or cucumbers? Shocking ignorance of pickles here I am afraid.

I found out yesterday that Jersey voted for Brexit so that the rest of Britain will join them again. I'd forgotten that the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man didn't quite join Europe. Perhaps we could join them and have Jersey's special status. Britain could become a Channel Island.

Could the weather improve up here if we did that? the Channel Islands =sun!

Of course! All of England and Wales anyway - Scotland of course would depend on whether they stayed in the UK. How far up are you trisher?!
