No more promises from Monty Don about Mediterranean summers - today we have Post-Brexit weather so it has started already. Grey, dark, miserable with the promise of heavy rain. Just how the British like it so that we can grumble about it

If the British weather defeated Julius Caesar then surely it will keep all those pesky furriners out these days?

Oh dear The Chalet School will not be able to accept English girls anymore. So there will. be no more brave English girls pluckily coming to the rescue.

Your comment Re Croquet. I played it when I lived abroad. The team was set up by a retired blast furnace worker, so stereotypical. He couldn't have been further from your vision of what a croquet player looks like.

Sorry did I miss something? I don't think I have posted my vision of a croquet player-just that you will need a licence to play.
We used to play French cricket sometimes- that will all have to go!
