The right to bare arms!

It seems to be accepted that the more mature amongst us should wear garments which cover our upper arms- not always too comfortable in this hot and humid weather.
When I'm on my own, I have been doing my housework in singlet and shorts, 'cos there's no one around to see my crepey arms and 'bingo wings'. In fact, with doors locked and curtains drawn I have pottered round my flat in the 'altogether' which is very cool and pleasant.
I have to say, tho', that after an uncomfortable occurrence this morning, I do NOT recommend naked ironing! shock

I meant to say the arm has to be bare and she will push my sleeve up if I'm wearing long sleeves!

DGS has recently become fascinated with the crinkly skin on my elbows and can't work out where it goes when I bend them grin

Marieeliz I was prescribed Cetraben after a particularly bad bout of excema on my fingers. I now use it on all exposed areas every time I shower, while the skin is still moist but not dry as that seems to help the absorbency. Always used to use moisturising bath lotions but moved house and only have a shower now, so need the extra nutrients in the cream.

Why should we be the ones to cover up when the streets are full of badly dressed overweight young women!!!!

My partner's Gran used to tell him 'If it suits the wearer, sod the starer'

I don't care what others think of me,never did, if it's hot I wear sleeveless tops and crop pants, they are cool and I like them. Life's too short to worry about what others think.

Yesterday at Wimbledon, Anna Wintour ( of Vogue magazine) had a sleeveless dress on, and her arms were veiny, wrinkly and scrawny. I'm quite impressed that she hadn't covered up, good for her!

I'm crying because I left a brand new, sleeveless white dress from Next in France over the weekend. I have sent the hotel an email, but they haven't answered, so hope lost I think. I wore T-shirts all week there.

You wear what you want. I learnt not to give a hoot what people think after losing all my hair after chemo and it was so liberating. My view of a person is how they are with me not what they wear ?
