Do forget me nots change colour depending on the acidity of the soil? Mine definitely looked that colour. But I also had pink ones and white ones.

The Queen has throughout her reign used her clothes to compliment the country she is visiting, or chosen a particular style/colour to fit the occasion. It has been obvious since she came to the throne. Visit one of her clothing displays at Buckingham palace next time and it is all there in full explanation.

Yesterday when we were watching the speech, Tricia, my grandson said that her hat looked like the EU flag, the right colours and the stars.
He was so pleased today when he saw in the paper that other people thought the same.

It has gone viral on social network especially where it was juxtaposed with the eu flag

Even Guy Verhofstadt noticed. He tweeted," Clearly the EU still inspires some in the UK #QueensSpeech."
