The thinking behind supermarket displays.

We have a new supermarket (well, an old one taken over by a new chain). I don't go there often because I can never find anything, and I complain at the till every time (they are obviously drilled to ask "was everything all right?" and I give them an honest answer. The mayonnaise is just inside the door with the salad dressings, oils and vinegars. The tomato ketchup is right at the other end of the shop.

As they say - go figure!

In my local morrisons they move the lentils so often staff have problems finding them

I was doing my online Tesco order, couldn`t find vinegar, put it in the search engine, it was with cooking ingredients.

My local Morrison's decided that ice cream sauce shouldn't be near the ice cream but with the baking stuff which was miles away.

I asked about the logic behind it and was told that one of the sauces was a form of golden syrup which was used in baking. I pointed out that, although I'd used golden syrup from a tin, in all my years pf baking I'd never used ice cream sauce. The manager looked at me in a rather confused way and a female staff member said, 'We told you so.'. The next week the ice cream sauce was back near the freezers
