THAT wedding!

I wish them both well and have enjoyed looking at the photos. I agree, Pippa is very thin, but was she any bigger when her sister married? A little maybe. Some of the outfits were testament to the fact that designer clothes are not always flattering. In fact some were seriously hideous. I suspect the groom being the son of multi millionaires and as I understand it wealthy in his own right was comfortable with the expenditure. It seems a huge amount of money to me but it is theirs to spend and I suspect little to do with the Royal connection.

grandMattie I believe Pr Eugenie as was the Lady Windsor being royals made a difference to the ring issue.Although Prince Harry had the sense to know the media would have been out in full force and papers world wide full of Ms M photographs.

A wedding is a wedding...just wish them well and hope they enjoy happiness ahead. They are so very wealthy, and as we know, this does not always ensure a great life.

I'm guessing Prince Harry's girl just crept in discreetly to reception. The press would have made such a meal of her at wedding. I was thin as that in my 30s, some families just are. They are healthy, fit (health wise not the other 'fit') young women.
As for money, it's theirs to spend as they wish and they all looked so lovely in a classy, understated way.
I'm no royalist or celebrity watcher but I can see nothing to promote criticism.

I sometimes think that the Middletons think they ARE the Royal Family. Nobody had heard of Pippa until her sister married Prince William. What they spend is up to them, but I believe they should remember who they are.

Pippa looked beautiful, the dress out of this world.
A long but-- what on earth is she doing to her figure.?Nice to be slim however looking at her stick thin upper arms she appears to have lost muscle tone and although she is miles from old age the older we get the more difficult to get back to the body of our younger days.From my own experience of wanting a sylph like body ha! ha! I developed the inevitable 'bat wings' that came with too much weight loss.More difficult to firm up an older body than a younger one.Hence so many more now going for the knife.

I avoided it at all costs ,skimmed past it in my news feed on FB and turned the news over when it was mentioned.These people flaunting their wealth is not clever..it is of course good to aspire to a lovely wedding but lots of young and not so young women see this hype as a role model for their own weddings and get themselves into huge debt ...it should be about the marriage not the locals being told to wear blue bracelets and stand in a certain place so they have the "honour" of seeing a wedding.Church weddings are supposed to be open to all anyway,god help us all if Harry marries his bidey in ,we'll be swamped with nonsense for months

Are parents not allowed to spend what they can afford on their daughter's wedding ?
I cannot afford a car, so I can say two cars in a drive is obscene ?

Both the sisters are almost anorexic thin, aren't they? and what is this obsession of being SO thin?
Interesting that Pr. Eugenie was allowed to bring her +1, against the "no ring, no bring" arrangement, but poor Pr. Harry wasn't. I understand that she would have stolen Pippa's thunder and all that, but surely what is sauce for the goose, is sauce for the gander?

Ghastly social climbing gits, all over the papers.........I don't care about any of them including the royals, and Harry dashing about to collect his second hand bit of stuff to take her for a free feed........none of them look like they eat enough....vain, spoilt and selfish. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

I read the cost and couldn't believe it. Just because the bride's sister has married a royal, that doesn't make the bride anything other than a commoner. Sorry - but that's the way I see it. Agree whole-heartedly with you, Angela1961!

What I can't believe is the actual tv time or inches in the newspapers this wedding has been given. Other siblings of marriages that have taken place never received it ( brother/sisters of Prince Edward/Andrew/Annes wives or husband) so what's the hoo ha for hers ? Sorry not interested.

I did chuckle when I read this morning they had ping pong tables at the reception.... if that's 'posh' I'm glad I'm not

I agree with most of what you say Maw but do wish that Kate would stop trying to look so 'elegant' and try to look young and fresh.

I didn't see a lot of the wedding but Pippa & Kate did look lovely. The children looked sweet and very traditional.
Having said that I was shocked at the amount of money which had been spent. Yes I know people are entitled to spend their money as they wish and I'm sure both families support their chosen charities but still ...........
