As a lighthearted antidote to to stressful time recently,I was wondering what little things you do or say that annoy you?

I put one hand in an oven glove, then wonder why I can't lift the dish out of the oven...I'll start a household job even though I know I won't have time to finish it,and come back to the ironing board left out and to small mountain range of washing to be sorted.

Permanently swollen ankle .
so no nice summer dresses or sandals.

Head says No!
Mouth says its OK you can be good tomorrow!

Housework is one room a day
I can remember a time when I could zip through whole house and do the ironing, make the evening meal etc etc etc in a day.

I am reminded quite often by DH
That you do have to be alive to notice.smile

I'm far too emotional and over anxious. Most of all I hate it that I'm so scatty.

Not having the energy that I had not all that long ago,
Putting things off ( procrastination is the thief of time!)
Impatience

I'm annoyed that I'm not braver - so that I could do things and go places even though I'm on my own and I feel awkward and nervous.

I'm also annoyed I can't sing (in tune).

Not standing up for myself. I hate confrontation and will do anything to keep the peace. How sad am I !!

Marydoll Sat 20-May-17 20:08:59

I talk (and write) too much. (I'm sure people avoid me when they see me coming)grin

Hopehope Sat 20-May-17 20:18:59

I'm like Jane10 in that my feelings are written very clearly on my face. Over the years, I've learnt to actually say very little but that seems to make my facial expressions even more "voluble" and leaves others very well aware of what I'm really thinking, but not saying. Also, when I'm annoyed, I know I have a face like a smacked a**e. Face transplant needed me thinks.sad

Sar53 don't think your sad at all I have just added this to my list of things I am annoyed about my self now going to hide in cupboard ?

FarNorth Sun 21-May-17 06:08:03

I'm one of the procrastinators.
Yes, I'm definitely doing XYZ today. Oops have I really been fiddling with my tablet for hours? Oh well, hardly worth starting now. I deserved a rest anyway.
Good grief, a week has gone past and XYZ still isn't done. My laziness is stunning!

silverlining48 Sun 21-May-17 09:12:43

I am with you farnorth, plus i avoid any sort of disagreement and then get annoyed with myself.

minxie Sun 21-May-17 09:41:14

I am a procrastinator big time. I've been "researching " starting my own on line business for the past year. Laziness and a lack of belief stops me. My friend put me on to Pete Cohen a motivational speaker on line it's all free and he has helped amazingly. Google him ladies or find him on face book. You just watch his videos on line.

Only having 24 hours in a day - so many things I want to do and somehow never manage them. Weekly start decluttering home and intend to deal with garden this year, but never finish declutter, because new rubbish keeps arriving.

sarahellenwhitney Sun 21-May-17 09:50:52

I will help others , I will advise others but when it comes to myself I am a fish out of water.I spin around in circles and get nowhere.
It has cost me dearly and each time I say, That's it, not again.

annifrance Sun 21-May-17 09:50:58

I have a pathological fear of being bored! So kindle is joined st the hip. Can't bear having around with nothing to do.

Admin is boring, so regularly beat myself up for leaving it to the last minute, or later. Hence now have a panic with tax form!

grandMattie Sun 21-May-17 09:58:12

I wish I were braver, but most of all I wish I had a sense of humour. DH drives me mad with his "funny little sayings" and either I don't understand them [especially if it is directed towards me] or I've heard them so often, laughed then, now I just want to knife him. He says to "lighten up", if only!
My tendencey to have my foot in my mouth. Sadly, the only time that foot comes out it is to ram the other firmly in! very distressing.
My inability to say "No", especially if I am flattered...
Need I go on? confused

MawBroon Sun 21-May-17 09:58:17

If I am being honest, a pathological phobia of filling in forms - of any sort. I put off applying for the "Threshold" supplement when I was in teaching for 2 years because the 12 page form scared the sh*t out of me. Then my Head said for goodness sake get on with it, so I "cribbed" the format of the answers from a colleague, but with my own details of course.
I also fear rejection or refusals, so often I will put off asking for something or booking it ( though I am paying for it ) as if it were a favour! confused
Not much hope of growing out of that!

LadyGracie Sun 21-May-17 10:08:42

I'm also very sarcastic and my memory is awful. I must admit Christinefrance I enjoy my laziness and a big backside is something I have to live with!

cangran Sun 21-May-17 10:09:58

It annoys me that I can't let slights or criticism, however minor, wash over me but instead dwell on them - plain stupid!

Rockchick22 Sun 21-May-17 10:10:08

Saying horrid things to my husband who is so kind and generous to me, but I hate the way he is such a control freak. Every time I speak to him he always answers 'yes I know' when he doesn't frigging know coz I've only just told him. Uurgh!

Theoddbird Sun 21-May-17 10:19:43

I have downsizing to do...piles of stuff to sort and I am sat here readings posts on gransnet... Oh and I have work this afternoon and a uniform to iron....oooops did I mention cooking lunch and doing a meal to take to work with me

Gosh, loads of stuff annoys me about me...hahaha

harrysgran Sun 21-May-17 10:23:40

I'm annoyed with myself because I don't have the confidence to get out there and meet new friends I appear so confident at work yet out of work I'm a mouse

Kitspurr Sun 21-May-17 10:23:41

I don't get involved. I don't push myself to get out there and make friends and I could really do with some good friends in my life. I'm too fearful.
