I usually cross my legs. Never at the ankles, though - who on earth does that?confused

I like to sit like a frog. Always have since I can remember. Basically my thighs are straight and my lower legs form 90 degrees. My legs form a small "r" shape and a mirror image of the same. People tell me it looks really uncomfortable but its fine for me.

Crossing your legs can cause circulation problems and varicous veins so not a good idea.

I never cross my legs when I sit, it hurts my hips too much shock
When my aged Mum was in a care home the staff used to go round telling everyone to uncross their legs as it was very bad for their circulation

I was reading in a novel about being judged old by the way you sit. Apparently, to sit with your ankles crossed, with hands resting on knees is the default position of a pensioner!
To look youthful, cross your legs high up or lie full-length on the sofa (that's me) or? You tell me.
