Just wanted to raise this subject as DH was recently diagnosed. We have become active in a local group to spread the word and have had some success. However, as we know only too well ladies, men are reluctant to go to the doctor with any degree of alacrity. So I would beg you to watch out for symptoms, badger DH to seek medical advice ASAP, and get involved. Symptoms are urinating at night, urgently needing to do it often during the day, pain involved in passing water and sometimes back pain. 1 in 8 men develop prostate cancer in the U.K. every year, 1in 4 African or Afro-Caribbean men and more men younger than fifty are presenting with symptoms. A simple blood test can be arranged by your GP and results are returned quickly. If caught early it is eminently treated but delay can be a killer! I have spread the word to the males in my family and would hope you would do the same. Thenk you for reading this rather long post and I hope you never need to follow these steps.
What made you fall in love with your OH?
