I have just spoken to Rubylady she had an appointment at the MRI today and was admitted to the Acute heart ward for tests. She is on a drip and is to have an MRI scan and an angiogram.
She sounds in good spirits, it is a nice ward and patients ok.
She asks "for grapes please"
Her son has been quite shocked by the seriousness of her condition and has come home to look after the dog and the other pets.

Phoned for my bed and none available yet as doctors still doing rounds. Why do they say to ring at this time if that's the case. I was nice and relaxed and now worked up and not even in yet. Plus booked hospital transport and, as it says on the letter to be there for 2pm, I booked transport for 1pm but, of course they could come anytime from 11am. Now I'll have to cancel transport and use the only money I have until weekend to get in.

Oh ruby that's so awful for you. I'm so angry on your behalf - not that it helps! Surely, by now, you should be a Very Top Priority?

Morgana Tue 27-Jun-17 11:01:13

Oh no! Pity u live so far away from me. At least I think u do.

Nandalot Tue 27-Jun-17 11:24:29

Hope you get the go ahead soon. All best wishes.

Just spoken to Ruby, still at home and waiting for a call. It may be very early tomorrow morning when she goes in for op the same day.
I would be onto my MP by now.

Willow500 Tue 27-Jun-17 13:18:00

Not been able to get on here for a few days till it was fixed and so upset to find that you're still hanging on waiting for this to happen. It's disgraceful and I agree your MP should be made aware but that won't help you today. I hope you hear something before the end of the day - the not knowing must be so stressful and not helping your condition at all! angry

NfkDumpling Tue 27-Jun-17 18:59:41

This is disgraceful. The stress isn't helping one bit. Perhaps emails to local MP, Hopital Chief Exec, GP (to complain of the damage the stress is doing), local paper, Radio 4 You and Yours. Can we get a petition up?

rubylady Tue 27-Jun-17 19:02:09

I'm currently in a taxi with driver with dodgy eye! You couldn't write this! X

rubylady Tue 27-Jun-17 19:05:44

Bed manager phoned me earlier and asked where I was! He said they'd been expecting me since dinner time. So he sent a private taxi for me. Nearly there now. If I survive dodgy eye man's driving! X

Katek Tue 27-Jun-17 19:08:29

Oh Ruby-it could only happen to you! Glad to hear the wait is nearly over. flowers

bikergran Tue 27-Jun-17 19:09:16

don't you be "eyeing" that taxi driver up ruby !!

annodomini Tue 27-Jun-17 19:11:54

Sounds as if MRI had a breakdown of communication somewhere and that's inexcusable! I hope you have now arrived safely. All the very best for tomorrow. xxxxxx

hulahoop Tue 27-Jun-17 19:32:05

All the best for tomorrow ruby hope you get a good sleep tonight or is that expecting too much ?

Bellanonna Tue 27-Jun-17 19:35:03

You're in the right place now Ruby. The infrastructure is awful but thank goodness the surgery is excellent. Hope you feel more relaxed now. X. Don't be too disruptive on the ward!

Cherrytree59 Tue 27-Jun-17 19:35:54

Hi RUBY
Quite disconcerting isn't it?
Had to see an out of hours doctor last Saturday.
Lovely man but he had one eye on me and the other on my DH shock.

Hoping that your taxi ride Ruby was the first part of your journey back to health.flowers.
moon wishing you a peaceful night

seacliff Tue 27-Jun-17 19:39:48

Good luck Ruby. I really hope it's the end of your long wait, and after tomorrow the start of a better healthier life for you x

NfkDumpling Tue 27-Jun-17 19:53:12

Auntieflo Wed 28-Jun-17 09:46:52

Hi Ruby, all the best for today. I meant to write this much earlier, but have been for blood tests, an arm and a half's worth, ouch!. Hope you are well on the way through your op now, and having lovely dreams. Everyone on here is rooting for you and your brilliant recovery. God bless.
