I do wish the modern tendency to take offence on behalf of others over quite trivial stuff would calm down.

An old Jings comment comes to mind at this point: "stuffed shirts".

petra's comment is obviously a leg-pull. It might not be the kind of humour that appeals to many but people don't have to get so shirty about it.

But you must admit that she did get quite wound up about Brexit and certainly didn't pull any punches when it came to expressing her opinion of those who had dared to be stupid enough to vote to leave. If I remember rightly at one time they were "too thick to know better". Is it any wonder some are less than enamoured?

Agree with the last few comments and as I said before GJ made a very generous offer some months ago, which received many positive replies at the time.

Quite right, J52! No matter how much you may disagree with someone there is no need to be insulting.

And "banging on" is not a very nice way to put it.

I particularly disliked the comment about her 'taking in washing' . I think I can understand why people might leave the sort of forum where this sort of thing is said. I know it wasn't you who said that Ana.

Good on anybody who needed to and did so (take in washing) better than going hungry.

I did not intend to post on this thread,but I know GJ in RL, I can assure that she would not be in a position to have to 'take in washing'.

Stop being so nasty about GJ! You may not agree with her views but some of the comments here are quite out of order and I'm very surprised to read them.

I think I have her everyday email from when I was in Switzerland at the time of the search for Greatnan but I don't know if it's still used and if she would answer me.

I doubt if granjura can afford to come to the uk now. I'm sure some will remember that she never missed an opportunity to go banging on about how bad things were since the brexit post. Probably taking in washing.
