Marnie and others, alone for much of the time.? As we age, and lose DH /partners we become naturally more alone, and even family members forget that we may not be ok with it.It hasn't happened to me yet, but it will. It's a consequence of ageing not much thought about. The only advice is to join clubs if you feel able to and are mobile enough to.WI is a good start. We also need a certain amount of acceptance to deal with it, which can only come from within.
Having a pet in the house, putting the radio on, and making phone calls to others on days when you can't get out may help.
