Even cold cases are never forgotten and we always hope that new evidence will come to light and they can be solved.

Yes indeed - how can any parent serious condemn the McCanns or Ben Needham's grandparents for what happened? I don't understand such thinking...

The difference in public interest about these missing children is obvious.
Ben Needham went missing in 1991.
Madeleine McCann went missing in May 2007.
Facebook and similar "instant news" information sites only began in 2004.

It was down to the timing of the rise in popularity of social media. For better or something much worse when you hear and see the trollery that goes on.

Gosh that was vitriolic Josie I m sure we have all done things in the moment, that afterwards think wasn't the best practice and times do change, Do you really believe they were left alone every night ? I certainly didn't read that at the time Have you NEVER done something that you realised wasn't the safest afterwards I bet most people have

What a nasty post. Sadly I've seen similar online whenever the McCann case is publicised.
