My friend and her DH have just visited, not seen her for six months. Her father is sick and she is at his beck and call 24/7 so I was pleased that she could find time to visit. We had champagne and a laugh

DD1 is off work and DGS 1 was at. Friends house so she rang and asked if I would like to have lunch with her. Although I see her often it was especially good to have her to myself for a change.

Seeing an old friend and grumbling about our respective ( grown up ) children!! No one else is allowed to

Well I'm pleased my gastroenteritis isn't any worse, but I wouldn't say I was happy about it. I suppose these things take longer to improve when you are older!

Emptied the basket of ironing! Made a Christmas cake wrapped three parcels. Have a G&T in my hand

Our daughter bought us tickets for Cinderella at the London Palladium for Christmas and we have been to a matinee this afternoon and it was amazing!

A beautifully wrapped Christmas gift from my boss....most unexpected.

Spent time with eldest grandson today who showed me a photo of his girlfriend -he is 16 and she is his first girlfriend. He described their visit to Brighton and lunch in a Sushi Bar as well as a visit to the 360i - first love

I saw this lovely video of an autistic child in a special school

Iced the Christmas cake and it looks OK.

Finally shopping all finished ..

My Glaucoma is now stable and I haven't got to go back for 6 months.

GA. Both had me 'leaking'. One with emotion, the other with laughter . How's your new family member doing? ?

I managed to get a parking place at Tesco, to finish the shopping. DH made me a very welcome coffee when I got home, and he was listening to Andrea Bocelli, who often makes me weepy, not in a bad way though. He has been really poorly, but must be feeling a bit better, hence the music.
But I am feeling extra sentimental since Tuesday, when my eldest grandaughter and her DH visited and gave us the wonderful news that we shall become great grand parents, again next year. Two in one year, greedy, moi! ?

Family are all coming for a day next week. I'm so pleased and so appreciative of all the hard work they put in to get a day off together.

gardening all afternoon in the sunshine - with the two dogs ( borrowed for 3 weeks to allow a young family to settle the new baby in).

Marmight my new ? is poorly so we can't collect him from the rescue centre until the vet gives him the all-clear. Looks likely now to be on the 30th as the vet doesn't work over Christmas. I'm so excited, but as he's still a secret from a certain family member preparations are all going on behind closed doors.

The light bulb posts came first.
But since then I have had a visit from my littlest grandson!

My ds came home from a three monthly appointment in Durham, to see the optician who monitors the results from my son's special eye mask. His eyesight is still stable! So the good results are continuing.
His life seems to be turning round now, and he is happy at last.
