When I first posted on this thread I said there were some honourable exceptions i.e. not everyone was being mean to the OP. What on earth is it now with the conspiracy theorists? I don't have a profile page - is this a rule of Gransnet Royalty? I not in a group of posters working together - I simply sent a PM to the OP checking she was OK after the onslaught some of you put her through? Can't some of you believe that there is an unconnected group of decent people who think there has been some pretty awful posts on this thread and are prepared to say so - if I were into conspiracy theories I might hazard a guess that those who think that way may be basing it on their own nefarious behaviour.

Well, firstly a reassurance to anyone who may have thought I was defunct, should anyone have missed my presence on GN. I just got a bit fed up with some of the unnecessary unpleasantness on here and decided to give it a rest. However, I missed the contact and have been lurking today.

I just happened to be browsing the active posts this evening and came across a heartfelt post by Shanma on Tue 22-Nov-16 00:02:56. She was clearly feeling miserable and several people responded to her in a supportive way for which she seemed to be grateful. So..........what has caused this latest post? I am confused!

Jud as would be said on MN, I am clearly over invested in this thread. But there you go - why do we need to know what caused the OP? It wasn't OK but neither were many responses. Of course it should be left now but some posters are now throwing around pathetic conspiracy theories to keep it all going and I couldn't resist reacting.
