GN is no more for me. I have no idea why I stuck it for so long. I am sure there are some nice people on here, but every time I log in I see mostly the same old clique, perhaps I should have typed Coven.

Anya and her " cronies" who have not enough brain to be able to articulate something without resorting to profanities.

Elegran who is so terribly bland and boring, yet obviously spends alot of time madly googling an answer to almost every question here to make herself look clever...didn't work Elegran.

DapneBroon " Poetry", is that what it was? I wouldn't give up the day job Daphne!

I do not mix with People like the above in my real life, why on earth would I want to do it here?

Bye Bye. Enjoy your little cyber nit picking. I suspect if I were to read the posts in some months time that not a thing will have changed. YAWN

Its unusual to 'meet' a person such as Shanma.......and that isn't a compliment!
Quite honestly she's done precious little but moan, grizzle, bitch and insult folk on here since she first appeared, and I, for one, shan't miss her!
And if I do miss her, it'll only be until my aim improves wink

Anya Sat 03-Dec-16 15:34:48

That was my take on it Maggie and I gave the same advice does that make us cronies great minds!!

millymouge Sat 03-Dec-16 15:36:03

Don't often post but the few times I have asked for help I have always had support and good advice. I find it odd that Shanma posted the way she did. It almost sounded to me like a cry for help, as though she was very angry with life and needed to vent her anger at someone. I can only hope she finds some peace.

Granny23 Sat 03-Dec-16 15:40:40

I'm distraught that I have been (I'm sure inadvertently) omitted from the list of "I do not mix with People like the above in my real life". I would hate to be regarded by Shanma as someone with whom she is pleased to mix. I had already placed her on MY (very short) list of "people, whose approval I seriously do not want'.

bye

FarNorth Sat 03-Dec-16 16:04:27

Even if Shanma's criticisms are correct, they're hardly worth storming off over, imho.
V strange.

MargaretX Sat 03-Dec-16 16:17:55

I can't ever remember reading anything she wrote.

Perhaps she is depressed or needs a drink or something.

Charleygirl Sat 03-Dec-16 16:21:53

FarNorth her criticisms are way off beam.

jollyg Sat 03-Dec-16 16:25:46

Elegran my maths is not so good, only managed to scrape a lowly mark.

So if you think I keep a tally of frequent posters and their comments, I dont. However certain names pop up with regularity, and I have found thats best to avoid at all costs.

Mea culpa to having one one of my posts villified, however I know to steer well clear of replying to that particular posters posts.

DanniRae Sat 03-Dec-16 16:48:40

Oh dear Shanma I know from a reply you made to a post of mine (about Christmas jumpers) that you are a very unhappy person. This is so sad when most people on here are either happy or if life is being difficult for them they are trying to be positive...hopefully with support from Gransnetters. I think you need to seek help and your GP is your first port of call.

I hope you are reading this thread...I suspect that your are ...and wish you all the best for the future.

DaphneBroon Sat 03-Dec-16 16:52:24

Perhaps this was the trouble

Maggiemaybe Sat 03-Dec-16 17:03:04

Well, according to Shanma it makes us bears of very little brain, Anya, but I think I prefer your take on it smile

Rinouchka Sat 03-Dec-16 17:33:08

DaphneBroon, you are a joy!

Anya Sat 03-Dec-16 18:34:16

Just a plea not to make fun of the OP.

kittylester Sat 03-Dec-16 19:40:27

I agree Anya! On reflection, I feel really sorry for her and think she has genuine problems!

tinaf1 Sat 03-Dec-16 19:57:06

Have been lurking on this post today ( don't post much and try to steer clear of anything to controversial) I'm glad the last two posters have requested no more mickey taking of the OP although she should not have posted what she did given the time of her post and looking at some of her posting on other threads ( says she hasn't been happy for years ) I think maybe just best to let her go and hope she feels better about herself soon

Elegran Sat 03-Dec-16 20:05:42

Somehow, I don't think that she will be happy with anyone for feeling sorry for her.

I don't know what she hoped to find on Gransnet, but she seems angry with GN that she didn't find it. I hope she is luckier from now on

phoenix Sat 03-Dec-16 20:32:07

Marmark1, have you actually read the op, ?

BBbevan Sat 03-Dec-16 20:34:51

Why so unkind Shanma ?

Marmark1 Sat 03-Dec-16 20:56:02

Yes,I've read it,and some of the replies with disgust, coming from grown ups.
More fitting for the play ground.

Marmark1 Sat 03-Dec-16 21:00:37

Put it this way, have you ever heard the saying, two wrongs don't make a right?

wot Sat 03-Dec-16 22:22:36

You're quite right Mamark. It's difficult to keep schtumm though

wot Sat 03-Dec-16 22:26:47

Mispelt, I know already.

Marmark1 Sat 03-Dec-16 22:52:13

You spell it anyway you like wot,I know what you mean.Your quite right, sometimes it is difficult to keep, what ever it is you said, Shanma may or may not be a nice person,I don't think she's a happy one.But the replies,Phewie.Where you ever surrounded by the school bullies in the playground?

Crafting Sat 03-Dec-16 23:13:30

Love all your poems Daphne. Keep em coming, they are cheerful and fun smile.

shanma if you really do have problems (like a poorly DH) you could get oodles of support from other GNetters but the sort of things you are posting are not the way to go about it.
