Is your wreath up yet?

Personally I think it is ridiculous to have decorations up for such a long time but if it floats your boat that is fine!!
I love Christmas and its specialness which, for me, becomes less special if it goes on for weeks!
I guess we may put up the decorations the weekend before Christmas. As a child it was much more traditional to put the tree up on Christmas Eve eve!!

However have made a crazy pom pom wreath in anticipation!

hildajenni the way the wreath is hung in the first link is how we hang ours - the hook over the door (but no reindeer although I may look for one now).

Intersesting if inaccurate link about wreaths! The thought that holly is a common bush in Roman occupied Palestine is odd!

Tree and decks up. And look what I got at the Belfast Christmas market yesterday! One for the birds in our garden.

BTW the gate round the Christmas tree is to keep nosy dog out.

I bought a wreath hanger this afternoon - that's a start I suppose!

My wreath is up in the porch but the porch light is behind it and it's not very visible. I am not sure how to improve this.
I can't get another cable out to it.

I will have to have a think.

Jud my friend used to put her Christmas tree in the large wooden playpen to keep dogs and children away from it!

Oh dear, we are behind, will have to get cracking this weekend.

Nelliemoser can you attach those little candles to it (battery operated?) or battery operated lights?

Ah Ha! My Googling suggest battery operated LED lights might just work. Has anyone tried them and how long do batteries last?

I've never tried them, but I may have a look in Wilko, I quite fancy some now.
