Anniebach All those aims that you list - "homing the homeless" etc. - are very commendable but you may recall that the platform upon which the Labour team fought the last election was to continue with the austerity policies of the Conservative government, with just some very minor "tinkering about".

With the policies that Labour had, they lost the last two elections. That was nothing to do with Corbyn. He increased his majority both times.

One thing which is not my opinion but a fact, since Corbyn became leader there is a nastiness in the Labour Party which I have never experienced in fifty years . Many corbynites are aggressive and intolerant

After the loss of the 1983 election, caused by the party going to far to the left labour couldn't get reflected for fourteen years . How can you claim to have been a labour supporter during those years yet never mention how difficult campaigning for the party was?

However, she is the Prime Minister and her government is in power.

That is the OP so I would have thought it was fairly reasonable to discuss why they did and why Labour did not - and I only need to ask my family why they either abstained or only grudgingly voted for Labour.

Our friends have taken on an allotment now he has retired (she hasn't retired yet).
