Before you all get too excited 
I saw, and met the most adorable , beautiful dog. He was in the Supermarket car park with his owner, and i just had to go up and ask was it ok to stroke him.
The Lady said of course it does him good to socialise, and he is friendly.
I have loved these sort of dogs for years, but meber seen one before in the flesh( So to speak).
He was huge, dramatic, elegant, and I wanted to dognap him there and then
A BORZOI.
I would never own one, probably couldn't afford to anyway, but although they are lovely dogs, good in the house and with people, they are apparantly sight hounds, and will chase anything which moves, and do so at great speed, if that happens to be a cat, or a small dog it will probably meet it's maker there and then.
If I were younger, and if I had a place in the middle of nowhere, perhaps with my own land, or a big boarded paddock for the dog to run in , then yes, but sadly my new love will have to remain a dream for me.
We had bassets and the funniest thing was the look on the puppies' faces when they discovered that they couldn't move as they were standing in their ears.
I went to see a neighbour today and her dog is having puppies very soon. Please don't let me buy a pug, not my first choice in dogs but puppies can be very persuasive.
