jollyg Like Wobbly I've not come across this word in my 75 years. It sounds like the Latin word for a variety of shrub. What does it mean? Nothing rude, I hope.

Rory is winding himself around and through my legs. I hadn't realised that it is so late in the afternoon. I need to feed him before that Tyke Charleyg gets all ruffled and thinks that I'm neglecting the poor creature.

soop the trouble is not the leaves but the dog poo. Can't find it, and if the dogs tread in it they don't check their feet before coming in the house ......

Daphne of course Grace is on my list-along with Sam who belongs to N&G. It would be lovely to have an animal to talk to while the lodger is out.

She is obviously very comfortable but I never understand why the head hangs over on to a harder surface. Still, as usual she looks very comfortable.

Seriously if vet, cattery and kennels were not so expensive, there would possibly be a couple more here.

It sounds as though Tizliz's dogs desperately need to come here although if Tizliz has been trained it should be okay. We will see.

Wobbly deserves a knighthood in my opinion.

JL were fine, it is only £34 refund, I am not asking for an extra £500 for the anxiety and stress or whatever. I still have the WiFI connection to sort out but I have decided to give Wobbly at least a week's rest. I have to get used to the handset, it is like gobbledygook to me as are the instructions. They are not in Swahili but they do not answer the questions I have.

Kitty that is a proud moment for sure ! I love what little ones make of that type of thing. We have always made sure that when introduced to new people all our 4 shake hands, its such a polite gesture and I am very proud when they step forward unprompted. Your little GS will treasure his certificate I'm sure !

My viewing was a non event. An hour before the estate agent rang to say they had decided they weren't sure about the area :-( back to the drawing board.

Sam is in the doghouse Charlie . Making lunch from my wheelie chair in the kitchen yesterday and was decanting the watermelon chunks( we had all the little ones for lunch plus their mummies ) and I went sideways narrowly missing Sam who squeaked loudly and frightened me so much I tossed the pot in the air and watermelon juice went EVERYWHERE!!! you have no idea how far it can go !!!

I am VERY cross this morning. I order my new Motability vehicle in July for delivery 1st November. The order process was smooth but since then I have struggled to get any communications at all and I KNOW it will not be ready on Monday but they simply wont admit it. To add insult to injury they never ring me back EVER. And then on Tuesday evening after finally getting through to the lady who had ignored my emails and phone calls - she promises to call me back and does 5 mins later BUT has misdialled and thinks she's talking to the production scheduler at HQ and tells me about this furiously angry lady who actually expects a car !!!

I have written a lengthy email to the MD and will have to send that, I've tweeted( with no response)and now I am about to ring again,

If I'm never heard of again I have imploded with fury !!!

A (young) friend has a mantra 'it will be all right in the end and if it's not all right then it's not the end'. Experience tells me not always so, but in the case of your car it will be, honest. .

Galen I cannot believe that your stair lift has not been fixed or replaced. What on earth would have happened if you could not negotiate the stairs?

Does any company provide a decent service? We are only asking for items which work, not rocket science.

It is temporararily repaired but awaiting production run of replacement part . The handle which broke off right at the start has still not been replaced

I agree with corner...If you are on Facebook/Twitter, make a point of mentioning how distressing bad customer support (in certain cases) has become. Shame on those who let the customer down.
At 75,I'm well beyond needing a CV. Although my late Nana was still working as a housekeeper into her late 70s.

Charleyg At lights out, Bracken returns to wherever it is that she has slept for all of her life, in spite of her chalet being furnished with a cosy rug. Her late night supper is placed inside the chalet. She returns in the wee small hours to eat it. Perhaps she does curl up on the rug. I've yet to see her do so. During the day, she spends several hours slumbering in the utility room, or roaming around the garden with Rory. In fact, she has been sleeping on the mat since about eight o'clock this morning. I haven't been able to use the washing machine. Why? Because for as long as she's happy to stay, she is very welcome. I can catch up with certain household duties once she skips away into the forest. She is in very good form. Always clean and not bedraggled.

soop it is difficult for Bracken to change the habit of a lifetime ie return to the forest to snooze at night but at least she eats the food put out for her. Still, Rory changed his ways, I know that she will also although it will take time.
Maybe if we have a hard winter she maybe more amenable to staying indoors but I do see that she needs a bolthole to dash outdoors if she thinks she is being hemmed in as Rory thought once.

I think it just means Highland music, soop – bagpipes and dancing tunes. There is (was?) a band called Heedrum Hodrum, so I would use that pronunciation but stick the syllable "er" in the middle of each word.

Chimney sweep has just been. Apparently we have a well-behaved stove and chimney.

bags We're waiting for our annual chimney check up. A good deal milder today. I continue to put off adding the weightier winter bedcover. Confess to having bought a pack of three pairs of colourful bed socks. Nothing drab. A girl has standards to maintain.
