Karma

My H has dementia but as I said up thread I have long thought that I was very bad in a previous life or maybe earlier in this one.

Life is random. There is no force out there dispensing justice or we would all be in the soup! Karma is the harm you inflict on yourself by harbouring negative thoughts or actions and the effect that then has on your life and your relationships. It's all about you!!!

I don't harbour negative thoughts about me exsil but that doesn't stop me being pleased when negative things happen to him especially as the spell didn't work.

ann, I'm sure you have never done anything that warranted the trials you are suffering now!

Like I said, Karma is a personal, private thing to the believer. In my understanding, it’s like a bank account you pay into and withdraw from. And because we are only human, we try to pay in more than we withdraw.

Now, here is an example of satisfaction at someone's misfortune. Some years ago DD1 was due to sit her A-level French and was unable to attend. A man burst into the exam hall with a flame thrower and turned it on some of the pupils sitting there, 1 of whom would have been my DD if she had been there. Three of the pupils were seriously injured, including a close friend of DD. He was terribly burnt on his face. The perpetrator was arrested and jailed. While in jail, he was diagnosed with stomach cancer and died not long after. Sorry to all the posters recommending peace, love and forgiveness but I couldn't bring myself to feel sorry! If you had seen that young lad's face........

I do not believe in karma. If it was real, Jimmy Saville would have had his just desserts.He won't get them in his afterlife.

Well, to be fair Mojowic we don't actually know that for a fact, so can't rule it out.

He seemed to lead such a sad distorted life. He was a complete social misfit and he knew it. The only way he could get some sort of pleasure in life was forcing himself on others. No love. Not much of a life.

I feel for all the people who were abused by jimmy saville and I'm so sorry for the people who have lost pensions because of philip green.

Now, what am I getting away with

It is sometimes satisfying when a small retribution occurs to someone who you think deserves it (you know the ones who are always dishing it out !!) Some call it Karma , or just a 'Yes 'moment . It's what I call justice. ?

But sadly there is no justice for people who have suffered real devistation ie Saville etc

That should have read :he got away with it -& then died before justice or Kama could be done !
