I have five grandchildren from three children. We have LOADS of fun. We go for walks in the hills, enjoying nature, and the park where there are swings and tunnels etc and we can be children ourselves again. There is a lovely park near Rutland Water. We also get the jigsaws out and time ourselves to complete them. We play all kinds of card games, whist, rummy and even poker, and also other games such as Pandemic, B ombs, Backgammon, Chess with our older grandson. We go and see the annual passing out parade where grandson is a Sgt Instructor in the CCF. Swimming, cycling, badminton are all the exercise we get these days apart from the garden. OH goes out to lunch with his cousins and also old workmates. I have my art and my writing. Yes, we have fun! When the fun stops I will be six feet under. If you are not having fun then get yourself out there and join a club ie walking, bowling, gardening, reading, or volunteer for something such as teaching children to play the piano or read a book, look for fun places to go, help with making costumes for the carnival. You can always find fun if you look hard enough. The problem these days is that people rely too much on the tv and there is not much fun on that these days. There is nothing to stop you going to a castle or a day out to someone else garden. Make your own fun. Life is too short to sit and wait for judgement day.
