Weird & wonderful names!

Mine was my father's nickname for me

Mine is boring and unimaginative. I'm not Italian, just like their word for grandmother, followed by the first letter of my name. Wish I could have thought of something really original!

The name of one of my cats, never more than a couple of feet away. He nearly had a nervous breakdown last night when I went to the loo and shut the door on him!

I borrowed mine from the Chalet School Books - a great favourite of mine which I still collect and reread.

You'll have heard of the journalist Nina Nannar.
Nina is connected my name, so I did a slight adaptation.

The name my birth Mother gave me and which is on my first birth certificate.

Mines because when saying goodbye to one of my grandchildren he shouted "bye nanna love you" I shouted back "love you too" his little face dropped and he run up the path crying "I love you more than two nanna" after that it became one of our little ritual sayings. He filled my heart with sunshine.

My name is just me

I tried a few but they were already used. My sons can act in mad ways though at times! Perhaps it should have been
Madmumofboys though!!

This is the second name I have had on Gransnet and I chose it because it was more or less the direct opposite of the the first! - I had a run of bad luck and everyone was telling me I ought to change my name!!

I needed an email address to register so I used the one I share with Grampy for general stuff. Just used the name too .

I knew I would forget the name if I used anything else! Loved The Broons chat, DaphneBroon, I discovered The Sunday Post on my first visit to my in-laws in 1977,my Dad-in-law was an exiled Glaswegian.

When all the quips about Nicola Sturgeon looking like Oor Wullie were doing the rounds, it was good to feel part of the joke.

I have unfortunately spelt mine wrong. The penultimate letter should, of course, have been a 't'.

Just wanted to hello again

I chose my name because my first grandson was born in the very warm month of july 2013.
And I would sit with him in the shade of our lovely cherry tree.
