Weird & wonderful names!

Mine is so boring , I should have given it a bit more thought.

Mine is the first bit of my middle name followed by the first bit of my first name. Very boring, do wish I had put more thought into it!

I wanted Maggiemay as that's what my dad called me (and sang to me), but as it was taken, I had to add to it. There are enough Maggies this and that on Gransnet now to form a hockey team, but I've never come across the original Maggiemay

If ye ken Auchenshoogle ye'll ken the Broons, Maw, Paw, Granpaw, Hen, Joe, my more glamorous sister Maggie, the twins (ae twin and the ither yin) my wee brother Oor Wullie and the Bairn and there's me.

My name comes from parts of the names of my children, in age order.

Mine is the name of a houseplant, currently on my kitchen windowsill. Like me it needs frequent drinks....tea in my case in case you were wondering!

Mine is what we used to shout when I drove an Age concern bus down a particularly bad unmade road. "Hang on to your Wobbly Bits"

What about Wee Eck daphne? Can't forget him! DS discovered in his teens that you can sing 'Oor Wullie, Fat Bob, Soapy Soutar and Wee Eck' to any Scottish dance band tune and on the big chord at the end you sing 'and his bucket'! Try it, it works!!
