I'm scared! There, I've said it.

I'm going into hospital tomorrow to have a benign brain tumour removed. I've spent the last few days reassuring everyone i.e. family and friends, that I'm fine about it and really not nervous at all, especially my Mum. She's 86 and has naturally got quite upset about it. In truth, I really have felt fine about it. However I just finished off packing my overnight bag and it's sort of hit me all of a sudden, I'm done now being brave and finally admitted to myself and to all you GN's that I am a bit scared!

NanSue,i had a benign tumour removed from the top of my spine last year 10 days after my DH funeral. It was all a terrible rush .Like you i was brave for the kids, but they were being brave for me too.Just tell them how much you love them and then let go and put yourself into the surgeons good hands. They know what their doing. Infact they are marvelous .Good luck to you .

All the best, I'm new but can relate to being strong for them, now think of yourself
