Prayers across the pond! I worked a neuro floor as a nurse. I was always surprised how well people were after brain surgery. I always said I'd much rather have it then other surgeries. It's so normal to be scared. I'm sure you will be in great hands. Hope to hear back from you soon on here!

I can't sleep. D.H is snoring for England and I could happily -slap- gently wake him, but instead I'm in the bathroom on my phone, which is probably the worst thing I can do. Thank you all again fur your support.

Oh my dear I would be exactly like that. I can't sleep before ANY early start whatever the reason so absolutely see where you are coming from. But of course your head is buzzing despite all your superficial calm confidence for everybody else's benefit. You say this is benign so that is really good, but any procedure is scary so while you MAY have convinced your mum (and I expect you haven't) you have to be honest with yourself.
I am sending all possible good wishes for a comfortable stay in hospital and the relief of a good sleep in your own bed when it is all over. Who would not be scared before surgery of any sort, all we can do is think by this time tomorrow this WILL be behind me and all will be well. .

I am thinking of you. Don't forget that to the surgeons and nurses this is just a normal day at the office and they are doing this stuff all the time.

They will know you feel scared, as everyone does, and will be there to reassure you at every turn.
