Well my DGD arrIved that Thursday morning weighing 7lb 4oz I was there through the whole thing but missed the actual birth as DD had to have assisted forceps in theatre and only her partner was allowed in! Mother and baby are both home and doing well - the overwhelming love I have for my DGD is unbelievable it's beautiful to have a baby around again - love her to bits ?

Many Congratulations!
Our first grandchild made his debut last Friday evening, his mum had a 52 hour labour, followed by an emergency C-section, which is perhaps not surprising as he weighed in at 9lbs 13ozs shock
He's not too chubby though as he was also 62cm (just over 24ins) long!
I have a gorgeous new man in my life, baby LJ smile

Never mind the baby's name - what are YOU going to be called? Granny? Gran? Nan? Nanna? Grandma? or something unique?

Marydoll Wed 24-Aug-16 21:33:58

Congratulations. I cannot explain how overwhelming the love we have for our 9 month old granddaughter. I never expected to feel like this. It's amazing. We are on holiday in Spain, so my son is having to send videos every day, as we are having withdrawal symptoms. I hope you experience the same feelings.

Yes, smiles, ahhs and awws all round. Hope the new mum is getting spoiled too. A good weight for a baby as well.
Now we need to know exactly what she looks like and, of course, her name...
Welcome to the world, little one ! smile
