Yesterday I was walking through a field of sheep with two small grandchildren and said,"Mind the poo".
Grandson asked,"Why doesn't their owner pick it up?"
So, all you farmers, get out there with the poo bags!

We had two labs that had to be put to sleep through old age. We explained this to my 5 yr old grandaughter and thought she had understood. Next time she came, a few days later she asked where they were. Again we explained that they had died. Her response was Are they still dead ? It makes her laugh now ten years later

Children can be so blunt. A friend of my GChildrens' grandad died - he had PD. One of my GC asked if that was what Papa (my OH) has (he has) and wanted to know why he was alive. But I like that candour in children - at least you know what you are dealing with!

My 5 yr old son wanted to get to school extra early because his friend Prasoon was from India, but still got to school before him each morning.
My 8 year old brother, on meeting our sister's new boyfriend who was a US naval officer on submarines, asked what he saw underwater. "Have you seen an octopus, I'm scared of them with their 8 long testicles".

My 8 year old GD was studying her ticket on the bus. Mmmmm she said "It says single on my ticket. But I have a boyfriend".

DS2 when a littley asked me in the supermarket if the wine I had just put in the trolley was for boys. When I said that it wasn't he said "Well, why does it say serve child on the label?"
