Yesterday I was walking through a field of sheep with two small grandchildren and said,"Mind the poo".
Grandson asked,"Why doesn't their owner pick it up?"
So, all you farmers, get out there with the poo bags!

That post was in response to Nanaandgrampy, just to make things clear!

Pollengran Tue 16-Aug-16 21:54:42

That is not a word Phoenix .

phoenix Tue 16-Aug-16 22:11:04

You don't say! (#ffsasjingsmightsay)

Well,Pollengran you have achieved something, the first time I have used the # thing!

I think your post of 20.25 might have been a tad premature, but benefit of the doubt and all that hmm

Pollengran Tue 16-Aug-16 22:20:10

You have sent me scrolling back, not understanding, avoiding hashtags since my Stephen Fry days. Totally confused.

I honestly don't think the farmer should lift the poo. So there!

phoenix Tue 16-Aug-16 22:22:02

Who the hell said he should?confused

Pollengran Tue 16-Aug-16 22:23:47

The grandchild! Bless him.

Erm, I think we all accepted that the farmer shouldn't "lift the poo" Pollengran, which sort of brings us back to the beginning.

Sorry, confused, brain ache and am no longer completely sure of my grip on reality, it is reaching the stage where Digby is starting to look as if he might have the answer to life, the universe and everything, (which some of us will know is 42) however I very much doubt if Digby is capable of any thought beyond a concern regarding the current level of cat biscuits in his bowl.

We were on holiday in the countryside sitting on top of a hill overlooking beautiful fields and hills.

My son who was about 9 said "It must take ages to mow all that."

My grand daughter who is 5 asked me if I played with the dolls in my flat when she wasn't there.

After having brushed his teeth my 5 yr old at the time GS said that was gusting (disgusting) with a screwed up face. I looked at him then noticed he had used his DG's fixadent instead of toothpaste. I had to google to see if he had been poisoned poor wee man. This now gets removed from the bathroom when he visits.

I wish we had a "like" button on Gransnet. Very often I really like a post but can't be bothered to write anything.

Any chance of that Gransnet??

I did wonder whether Pollengrans posts were tongue in cheek unfortunately they didn't come across that way - perhaps a little smiley face might help next time smile

Pollengran Wed 17-Aug-16 09:10:55

Thankyou Sunseeeker. I think all the posts here are very funny, I really do. smile.

I don't know if I'm allowed to use the word 'f**t' but here goes.....

Last week I was out with my daughter and granddaughter - just turned 11. Suddenly she started skipping along with her feet wide apart. When asked why, she turned with a grin and said 'I've got a f**t stuck - oh that's okay, it's gone now'.

I'm sure the passers-by were wondering why we got a fit of the giggles!

My grandson aged seven, told is mother that one of his school friends had a ghost in his house - to make light heart of it, his mother said,

'It may be a good ghost'

'What do you mean "a good ghost"?'

'Well If I die and come back to visit you, then I'd be a good ghost.'

'No! don't do that, I'll be alright, I can look after myself.'

I've never posted any comments on here before but felt I had to share this one.

I had a lovely holiday with my daughter and granddaughter but we had problems with our flight out to Spain. An hour into the flight we were told there was a technical fault and we would have to return to the airport (we did subsequently land without a problem).

When told we were returning to the airport my 5 year old granddaughter asked "are we going back to pick up some more people?". She also asked her Mum when we landed "do people always clap when the pilot lands the plane?".

gillybob Wed 17-Aug-16 12:53:11

My 6 year old grandson returned from a holiday with his mum, dad and 2 sisters. The pilot came to the front of the plane to chat with the air stewardesses as the passengers got off. Upon reaching the front my grandson approached the pilot and said "are you a real pilot?" "yes" he said. "Oh" said my grandson "I thought you were just a learner cos that was a really bumpy landing". shock

He was rewarded (for his cheeky comment) with a visit into the cockpit and a turn of the Captain's hat !

Nanny told GS that we couldn't afford to eat if Pompa gets the new car he wants. GS said, "well you could get a job" then he remembered "Oh I forgot, you are too old to get a job" !!

My GD aged three and a half and myself were at the kitchen sink the other day whisking up a sinkfull of water and washing up liquid to make bubble cakes when grandad came out to ask what we were doing. Making bubble cakes said GD. Can I help asked grandad, no, said GD because me and grandma are the teachers. Can I be a teacher asked grandad, no you can't, replied GD because you're just a child. (How right she is) grin

DGD age 2,loves to play with her doctor's set. "Say 99!" she demands, or "I must just bang your knees!"
Yesterday, she declared "I shall have to operate - or you could have some cream?"
The cream wins every time - it would be so nice if all doctors could cure us so easily! grin

loopyloo Wed 17-Aug-16 14:36:25

Brilliant! Gillybob, yes there should be a like button......

Daisyanswerdo Wed 17-Aug-16 14:47:55

DGS and DGD playing Poohsticks. DGS picks up a large stick; DGD(aged 6, two years older) says 'No, D....., that's unpoohstickable.'

shysal Wed 17-Aug-16 15:32:48

A friend's little girl announced in a loud voice in a shop 'Daddy, you're a farter'. When he looked embarrassed she said 'Well, if we were in Germany you would be'. She had misheard the word Vater from somewhere.

Flowerofthewest Wed 17-Aug-16 15:42:53

5 year old DGS after witnessing DHS 3rd trip to loo in one morning. "Grandma, grandpa is like me in the olden days, because in the olden days I wanted the potty all the time now grandpa does. I think we've swapped places".

shysal Wed 17-Aug-16 15:48:08

Haven't seen your name for ages Flowerofthewest. Glad you are still around! Or maybe I just haven't noticed blush

baNANAGran3 Wed 17-Aug-16 16:02:20

Quite a few years ago my (balding) dh was holding our dg in his arms when she looked up at him and said very seriously "grandad, did all the hair fall off you head and land on your arms"? Oft repeated now of course!
