tizliz We had a VW Touran which could seat up to 7 people or 5 and two dogs. Only replaced it because it wasn't heavy enough to pull our new caravan.

After a lovely day yesterday with lunch under the trees and a glass of delicious Malbec, today is very wet indeed. Can't decide if I really want to bother staggering to the bank.
Just had a tv aerial fitted in my bedroom so I might just plan an early night! My back really suffers if I sit too long on my sofas.

Clarkes sensible lace-ups for winter, and Clarkes equally sensible sandals for summer. In fact, the very same style of sandal is still available.

Anya The most lawless shire in England has to be Midsummer. Three murders are par for the course. Each dafter than the previous. Also, have you noted that there is usually a bicycle, a horse and a lone fox yowling after dark. However, it is pretty harmless with it.
Tizliz No names mentioned, but a German foursome recently stayed at our pal's guest house. Most evenings, whilst other guests were enjoying a proper meal in the pleasant dining room, they sat down with a picnic that they had purchased in a supermarket. They then had the cheek to ask for plates and cutlery and napkins.

Cornerg Rain is good. We've been having lots of the stuff. The sunshine does return. Swings and roundabouts...
Here is a photo of the bench that our neighbour's family have given us. We believe it's made of Teak. Very heavy. We have spent time (in the past) in the sunshine sitting with our pal whose bench it was. As cars passed, the occupants would hoot. I can almost see him on his bench - Sun-tanned and smiling. A truly lovely man, with an awful incurable dementia.

TriciaF and anno and Anya We would move it indoors had we the strength to lift it and the room to house it. Our cheapo white bench is taken apart once the weather changes. We then haul it up in bits into the loft. Our friend has left his bench out for numerous years. I think that the Teak oil will protect it. I also like the idea of a protective cover.
It is hot here...but pleasantly so. We've been sitting on the bench for 30 mins. That was long enough. Rory is asleep under the Hydrangea bush.
Lona I'm partial to a glass of fruity wine. I shall look to see if your tipple is sold in Tesco. Or is it far too posh?

Tomorrow we shall be visiting the Care Home. I feel bad about missing two visits to the ladies. The last two Tuesdays have kept us busy with hospital appointments.
I'm thinking of harrigran and hoping that she returns with positive news.
