Gagagran Sun 25-Sept-16 13:42:22

Oh and a bottle of fizz for the celebrations!

Gagagran Sun 25-Sept-16 13:41:33

I've brought a red ribbon for the grand opening of the new kitchen. Presume you have scissors to hand soop?

Galen Sun 25-Sept-16 13:40:11

soop! You'd ether get that new one ready to go!

Galen Sun 25-Sept-16 13:39:20

Doesn't show on an iPad. You have to go to forums and look for the thread title there!

Nelliemoser Sun 25-Sept-16 13:38:35

I was just trying to sit down and read that article when GNHQ deleted it. No wonder I never get to know what is going on. confused

Nelliemoser Sun 25-Sept-16 13:35:24

wot It's 993 (The number is at the side of the thread title.)
In a second it will be 994.

wot Sun 25-Sept-16 13:35:01

I'm keeping a low profile for a while after that joke.

Galen Sun 25-Sept-16 13:33:44

This one makes 992

wot Sun 25-Sept-16 13:29:50

Reminds me of a joke.....a deaf woman had ten children because when they went to bed, her husband always asked "Do you want to go to sleep or what?" And she would reply "What?"
Hope this is not UN pc

soop Sun 25-Sept-16 13:25:49

Galen I cannot make out how many more messages we have to go before you know what. I find it nigh on impossible to read the numerals. Are we at 991...or what? confused

soop Sun 25-Sept-16 13:22:19

I'm anxious to open the new kitchen. It bothers me when you lot have to ask for directions. wink

Galen Sun 25-Sept-16 13:20:56

You haven't missed anything, trust me. I'm a -----

soop Sun 25-Sept-16 13:20:44

Apparently, things turned nasty. A bun fight ensued. Such a waste of cupcake

soop Sun 25-Sept-16 13:19:38

I noticed that there was a forum with the title...Thank you. Was part way through trying to make sense of it, when it was deleted. Honest, Guv, I didn't do nothin'

Galen Sun 25-Sept-16 13:06:46

Pets and Kitcheners for the next title perhaps?

soop Sun 25-Sept-16 12:37:43

Heckers! We are almost ready to move into another kitchen. I had better make sure that all is as it should be.

May I take this opportunity to say thank you. You lot are special peeps.

soop Sun 25-Sept-16 12:32:09

A good, blowy, sunny Sunday afternoon to you lovely lot.
I've been blackberry picking. Hands are a glorious shade of pinky purple.

kittylester I've lost count of the thought-provoking messages that have disappeared without trace. It's bloody irritating to have to start over again.
York is a favourite city of ours. I hope that your lunch compensates for the awful weather. I went outside on a slug patrol last night...on my return, I needed to change my top which was wet through to the skin. The rain beat down without mercy. Naturally, Rory couldn't have cared less. He was tucked in on MacS's cosy lap.

Charleyg Did you mention your birthday to us lot? If so, I'm sorry to have missed it. A belated HAPPY birthday to you. Enjoy a celebratory meal.
Talking of cats...a lady moved from the village some months ago and her cat went with her. Today, the cat turned up on the door step of the now newly occupied cottage. It had walked fifteen miles. The neighbour to whom we spoke, is going to contact the owner (when she returns from holiday) and continue to feed the cat in the meantime. smile

bags Minibags will be happy to own her very own desk. I know that I was when at the age of eleven I was given a desk one Christmas. My younger sister enjoyed annoying me by moving it's contents around. I had a "thing" about the way the books and pens should be housed. She thought otherwise. wink

soop Sun 25-Sept-16 12:07:45

DaphneB Those fashion pics are tempting. I especially like the loose cardi-poncho thingy.

Charleygirl Sun 25-Sept-16 10:25:08

cornergran| I remain dressed for bed and I have a good book to read so it is tempting. Still, I know that I will be given 8 more books today so that should shut me up for a while, if I like them all. How a friend manages to read them in a short space of time I have no idea.

For some weird reason I only read books in bed. When I retired 13 years ago I was going to spend many days reading, that has not happened nor is likely to.

cornergran Sun 25-Sept-16 10:17:05

Have a good lunch charleygirl,, we all need a treat. Could be a bit chilly without clothes, though smile. We're supposed to be out with the family. All of them so a rare treat, but the weather is arguing with their plans. Hopefully something will come out of it or there will be much disappointment here. Am currently dressed for every eventuality!

DaphneBroon Sun 25-Sept-16 10:05:50

Belated wishes for your birthday, charleygirl cupcake I am sorry I missed it.
Yes, Wooolovers latest arrivals. Fortunately not much else to tempt me!!

Charleygirl Sun 25-Sept-16 10:05:16

Thanks annsixty another year older which I do not like. It is dull but dry here- it has rained during the night. Maybe we will see some sunshine later. I will see Tara in around 10 hours from now- where she goes I have no idea.

annsixty Sun 25-Sept-16 09:56:47

I don't know how I missed your b'day Charleygirl so I hope it was a good one and enjoy your lunch treat?

Charleygirl Sun 25-Sept-16 09:52:45

Daphne I did like that last item you kindly displayed. Is that Woolovers?

Tara was screaming at the front door today, the bully boy was there so I let her into the garden. One of my neighbours thinks we have foxes, but no, it is my baby girl voicing her opinion.

I am being taken out for lunch to celebrate my birthday which was on Thursday- the very least I can do is to get dressed!

kittylester Sun 25-Sept-16 06:56:58

I've tried to find my last post but it has disappeared. Naturally, it was full of words of wisdom rather than my usual drivel so please let me know if you spot it.

Great relief for you both Daphne and Lona especially with the underwear removal Lona! grin It will be a relief too when the desk etc are finished bags if it is anything like our house. It sometimes feels as though the roof will blow when DH is doing that sort of thing.

Who mentioned Woolovers? They insist on bringing new colours in just as I think I have one of everything that I like.

I don't envy the house selling experience nandg - just polish the taps!

Today we are driving to York for lunch and the weather is awful. It seemed like a good idea when we accepted the invitation.

Not long till a new kitchen will be needed.brew
