Dressage

Does anyone else feel concern about the pressure on the horses' mouths and the excessively bent necks of the dressage horses? I know it's not for long, but I don't like to see frothing mouths because it indicates pain or at least discomfort. It looks so unnatural to me.

What I know about horses could be written on a postage stamp, but my DGD's (8 and 10) and my DDiL ( their mum) are completely obsessed. I have enjoyed watching dressage, showjumping etc. with them these olympics ( usually via the red button) and love how carried away the girls get. They are both excellent riders and dream that it could be them riding in the Olympics one day .
