Noticed this on Breakie TV on the Beeb, as a means of getting some of the Olympic Athlete's, to hoola-hoop whilst asking 10 questions.
To add viewers having been sending ones of themselves.
New keep fit trend?

I've got one hidden away in the cellar, from the last time it was trendy, about 4 years ago. Perhaps now's the time to actually learn how to use it smile

I used to be good at it as a child, but just can't do it any more despite trying very hard sad. Probably too many lumps and bumps around my middle!

Shysal I was in the same situation loved doing it as a kid couldn't even do one round as an older person and then....... I went along to a gym picked up a hola hoop to show how I could no longer do it and did it as easy as pie for as long as I wanted ...now the only thing I can thing of is the hoops in the gym are more sturdy and a bit heavier than the kids one????

We had weighted ones to use at our Zumba class, last year. I found them difficult to lift, let alone twizzle around my waist. grin

older daughter had a weighted hoop and the bruises around her waist were awful!

Mine is weighted. Doesn't make a blind bit of difference to my ability, just has more potential for annoying the neighbours every time it crashes down onto our wooden floors.
