DGC on gadgets

AIBU but it seems as if my DGC's default setting is on a screen/gadget of some sort.
They are all fit, healthy, well behaved children from 3-well, hardly a child-19.
On school hols now. Teenagers seem to spend all their time watching films/box sets.
Younger ones always watching favourite latest fad creatures/playing games building (or knocking down) things.
They do play outside and are often taken to local park etc it just seems that whenever I see them they are glued to a screen.

Indeed, and is now a 'If you don't whatever, your phone/tablet will be confiscated'!! threat ?

My eldest DGD has had a new mobile, long story why.
So she's given her older one to her youngest sister aged 6.
So I'm now getting texts from the 6 year old.
I asked the eldest DGD about youngest's "address" and was told that the email address belongs to the oldest DGD but youngest has made an apple iMessage account-no, me neither!
I've asked them not to try to explain it to me thank you! Lol!

I have had 7 GC + one of their friends here today and I am not sure whether life might have been easier if they had all been locked into gadgets! It was mayhem - but they had a wonderful time dashing round our new garden, wheeling each other round in the wheelbarrow, hiding and chasing and having a brilliant time - but we are feeling totally done for.

I looked around the living room the other evening, DS & DiL on their phones, 4 year old on my tablet (his arrives today!!), 6 year old on her tablet, DH on his tablet and me on the laptop, well there was nothing on TV and we had had a full day at the beach in 39 degree sun.sunshine

Just what did we do before the gadgets then?!
