I have seen this myself in the past and want to say "tuck them away dear" but still defend their right to do it. I have never felt the need and don't think I would add to anyone's enjoyment.

Yes roses, that was my immediate reaction when I read it. I am NOT repeat NOT very elderly. In fact I'm not elderly, just a bit older! As for boobs I could do it with impunity, no shadows (not too much in the boob department) but unless you walk around naked, and I don't, who's going to see your mammary tan anyway?

Can't say that I have seen many topless elderly women, but each to their own I guess. Perhaps it is a 'thing' the group of women have always done on holiday together. Maybe they are naturists and are only wearing bottoms because they have to.

I would be like the stripey woman and as my boobs always get in the way, I would wear a bandeau bikini top instead so I avoided strap marks. Not that I would be wearing a bikini in the first place though - I need to cover up, not wear less!

Was in a changing room once, when a lady 'rolled' her breasts up and popped them into her bra. Live and let live is my motto on the beach but I would've thought if 'floppy' then it would be uncomfortable and better kept supported. But maybe then you get fungal infections. Trust me. Practical. Not to be recommended, is, going topless 'after' you've had your top on for a week. Did that once in my twenties and my friend was howling with laughter when I went for a swim in the sea. She said it looked like I had headlights!

This is I've never been blessed in the boob department, each one can be covered by my hand I was always jealous of my better endowed friends. I guess I have the last laugh as my boobs look the same as they always did.

A few years ago one of my grandsons had a part time job as a lifesaver at their local swimming pool whilst waiting to go to university. His mum rang me and could hardly speak for laughing. He had been called in that morning as there was a swimming party and they needed a lifesaver. The only thing was when he got their he found they were all nudists (not quite sure if that is what they are called) anyway they were all "naked as a jay bird". She said for a 17 year old it was an eye opener, he said they were all lovely people but he just didn't know where to look. They even asked him to share the birthday cake one of them had brought. He had to lay down for a rest when he got home.

I never did go topless as didn't have the desire to show off my breasts in public - you were obviously after attention if you're now worried about gravity and keep them covered.

If a few older women around you want to let it all hang out - why not?

I've never wanted to display my boobs in public either, but I don't see why we should hide our bodies just because they are less aesthetically pleasing than they once were.

I don't see why, if it is an environment where younger women are sunbathing topless, older women should not do the same, if they enjoy the feeling. Judging their breasts as not fit for human view is, surely, buying into the idea that breasts exist for decoration and the entertainment of men.
Breasts come in all shapes and sizes from almost non-existent bumps to big billowing ones but the media keep presenting this image of 34-38 D cup and probably silicone "enhanced".
If we had some decent weather I'd be down on one of the quieter local beaches, stripped off to my knickers, and if anyone happened to be offended by the sight of my 1 and 2/3 breasts (post partial-mastectomy) then they shouldn't be staring.

At the age of (almost) 58, and having had a lifetime of bemoaning my lack of bosoms, I am know quite happy with what I've got!

Yes, I rely on padded or gel bras to give me decent curves, but although when I take them off my curves go with them, what Ilittle I have got doesn't end up around my waist!

Also only have one and and a quarter Jess M as I developed necrosis after radiotherapy. But happy with what I have , just not for public display. However the twins are 79 so they " have done good".

Haven't done it for years, but I just love the feel of the sun on my body. Reading this just made me want to strip off all over again. Sod what anyone else thinks, I wouldn't be doing it for them!
